Dividing your melee army between bezerks and knights was no bueno, as you then need all the blacksmith upgrades to keep them going. I prefer scorps in this case v mangos, since scorps can still do ok against the eagles and still counter the archer masses fairly well. Also 24 minutes in when he is in imp and you arent, you had the gold to buy your way up and click faster. plus extra stone to sell too

also pretty ballsy trying to go archer 4 archer against the britons

1. Oppenent hits castle. Scout enemy base immediately for what they are producing. 2. Fast castle is 2 or 3 on gold only. Fast castle, get that animal hunt and rest make those farms! 3. Make stone gate and wall behind wooden gate. 4. Move all army and people under tc even if cannot get garrison all into tc. 5. Gather pikes with archers before engaging in fight. 6. Get BALLISTICS!!! 7. Make monastery in castle age right away.

Persians have a unique tech to make the castle have cannons. Deals extra damage to infantry and rams if I recall.
