@@hi12167pies i shouldve specified that im talkking about skyblock, half the shit they add is unnecessarily ping dependent and almost locks progression for people with high ping and while all those gamemodes are also ping dependent, they have to be because thats how the whole mode is, in skyblock they dont have to add ping dependent quests or items, but they do. not to mention how in stuff like bridge and bedwars theyve actually made it worse for the people with high ping, while they could easily fix it

@@hi12167pies its not everything, but a lot of stuff takes me hours or days or even way longer because its 100x harder and also yes the recent updates on sb are absolutely dogshit

@@kahowong2065 im not sure what you mean but if you mean like bedwars.hypixel.net this would do nothing if the server is still hosted in the same location. maybe it would put less stress on their proxy but i doubt it would improve much

nvm saw a comment abt them not being able to transfer the packets to different regions if thats the case then this idea is invalid

@@Worthie i dont think vpns and proxies do much to your connection but your results will vary to mine. in terms of banning vpns this is completely useless as a quick google search can find you vpns that bypass this restriction so idk i guess it can prevent very bad hackers but most decent hackers can bypass it easily.

@hi12167pies i mean ping wise (cuz im asian) i use exitlag and my ping goes from 250-400 to stable 180 which is a lot considering i don't have to get limboed and be in the void everytime i join

Asian hypixel servers would be a massive help for me (i get like <100 ping on asian roblox servers but im easily 240+ ping when i hop on skyblock)

@@LSryBoi thanks for sharing your thoughts. for the reason 1.8.9 is hard to add regional proxies, i believe that relates to what i said in my video about transfer packets. when you join hypixel they cannot simply send you to the au proxy and it would probably confuse people or cause the new regional proxies to have less traffic, leading to them not being worth adding. in the latest versions of minecraft there are transfer packets which allows the server the send you to a different proixy this is can make the regional proxies less confusing. with your last point of them not being able to do yet this because of way hypixel is built, i believe further adds onto my point that hypixel is an 11 year old server with most likely old/legacy code. when i used the hypixel api for a project, i have found them to have very inconsistently naming stats, sometimes using uppercase, lowercase and different naming schemes which leaves me to believe that transitioning to a setup with multiple proxies world wide would be hard simply due to their current infrastructure not being designed for this. I do hope hypixel does this in the future but with my current stand I doubt this would happen any time soon as most of hypixel game modes run on a very old version of minecraft - 1.8.9. (as a 1.8 plugin developer, a lot of cool things servers do are not easy and requires packets or complicated ways of doing things)
