Nice review DMC. I have the 117 Scotch finished and 117 High Angels Share. The Rum finished sounds good. 🥃

The comparable JW product to the other two would have been JW Black.

Really would have been better to do this blind. With just these two it would be easy to do.

I think perhaps the flatness that Margaret is perceiving is the Chill-filtering that I believe both of those whiskeys have been subjected to. I know that the Powers and Teeling are non-chill filtered.

Woodford Reserve is a favorite of mine for a couple reasons. Great video, I am going to buy the whole lineup, wheated next I believe! Thank you!

Nice review DMC. Saw it in Florence, KY last week for $200 and I passed. Ended up getting a ShortBarrel Cigar Batch, 2 Early Times BIB black caps and Bomberger’s 2024 instead. 🥃

I am alot like you, I have put it off but am ready to dive into it!!

I tried that - and then I tried the single barrel 108 proof for a fair bit more, but dang, that single barrel 108 had very similar notes - just much much better, fuller, smoother.

Nice review DMC. I really like the Jim Beam 7 Year Black Label for what it is…a low proof, easy sipper that I use as a primer bourbon. I cannot believe how much better the black label is to the white label. I cannot stand the white label. 🥃

For the cost its a good pour. I'll get a handle so I don't have to replace it that often. I'll use it mostly for guest that mix. I have other budget bourbon I will go to over this but still nice to have on the shelf.

Great drink through DMC!!! I've had the Single Barrel, I just personally did not care for the bottle that I have, as you mentioned they're obviously can be variation from barrel to barrel. I am a fan of the full proof. It has the oak does not drink to the proof. A good pour on these upcoming fall nights. Your palate and commentary is greatly appreciated well done.🥃

Very nice comparison. Was happy to see the Full Proof came out on top. I'll often grab that bottle. I'd be curious to see how it compares to the Green River Full Proof.

Hey David. Nice review. I agree that this blend works well. I used it to make Old Fashions, and everyone enjoyed the flavor saying it works well for an old fashion.
