On this Episode: Brandon Chynoweth has an incredible story of overcoming a traumatic childhood to find purpose and success in the audio/worship production industry. He discovered a passion for music and recording at a young age, which led him to build expertise in live sound and studio production.
Through his journey, Brandon learned important lessons about humility, generosity, and serving others. He emphasizes the importance of approaching technical ministry roles with a spirit of worship and submission, rather than pride or self-promotion.
A central part of Brandon's philosophy is the practice of "first fruits" - dedicating the first parts of his day and resources to God. This mindset has helped him maintain grace and patience when working with churches, even when they don't fully understand the technical complexities involved.
Overall, Brandon's story and insights highlight how technical skills can be leveraged for Kingdom impact when combined with a heart of service and dependence on God. His wisdom provides valuable encouragement and perspective for those working in church production and worship environments.

24:11 Functionality and longevity are important for sure. While we do aspire to better gear in time as a ministry, people are our greatest asset, I think. We pour into them, help them maximize their skills and the gear we already have and eventually graduate to better gear. Love the pod, boys. Keep it up!
Ameen thats why they the best Worship band in the U.S the gamboas and Upperroom with Beau maddox and sarabeth 😭😭😭😭🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🙏🙏🙏

You mentioned… If you had Valhalla. What settings would you go for drums or vocals with Valhalla?
Love it Nick!!!❤🔥
Nick just produced an album for my church and it has blessed us so much. He’s truly a gift to the body of Christ!

You didn't let David finish the story of how he joined Bethel, sad(
Mutemath is consistently inspiring the next generations. ❤
“translating the sound of Heaven!” Amen
Funky
glad to see Funk all grown up :D in 2016 he played a show and told me to pan my kick in hard left, and kick out hard right. what a troll! haha
16:18 "UK Rap Fam" 😂 had me dying 😂😂
I go to the upper room every February for my anniversary and I always sit behind the sound booth and believe me Brandon cooks ! Also where is this video breaking down his sound grid file?? Can you guys do a video on how to use sound grid
I caught the eluvitar reference lol
Such talented individuals - Geniuses at work using their gifting to help all houses of worship dramatically and economically improve their sound experiences!
What time averaging do you guys use with A weighting for SPL measurements? I know that can greatly affect the numbers you measure, but I’ve struggled to find good info on what time to go by. Lots of people talk about mixing for 90, or 92 dB A, but it’s hard to figure out what time average they’re using.
Awesome content!
DLo is a LEGEND!!
Drummer Listening from Dallas!
19:00 this whole section i can relate, i've been getting to the point where i dont have to eq as much as i use to to get the sound i want, mostly with vocals, i would over eq and things sounded fine, but not natural, then i started to learn to do less, and im understaning that i dont always have to touch stuff.
you guys should get the UPPERROOM broadcast engineer on an episode
Inspiring in all aspects. Drummer and Production Director from Canada 🤟🏽
I watched till the end 😂
