First of all, personally I think Cisco intentionally make the exam harder to reap the money from certificate takers other than selling their real products. CCNA & CCNP & CCIE are their milk cow now but not their products. Because exam takers need to take 2~3 times to get it passed after months long study. Cisco market share in IT field drop significantly for last 10 years - Juniper beat Cisco @ routing/switching field, PaloAlto beat Cisco @ security field, 8x8 & MS team beat Cisco @ voice field. Been 25yrs+ in IT field, I already let go my Cisco certs - no holding decent value any more in the market no matter they make exam harder or not, simply because their product and services are lost reputation to their competitors. Paid 2 times of US$300 for CCNP 300-410 no worthy!

I'm trying to set up a python simplehttp server behind the pfsense firewall on port 81. I followed the video step by step multiple times but cannot seem to access it. For some reason I can ping my Ubuntu client hosting the webserver from my pfsense lan interface but cannot ping the lan interface from the Ubuntu client. I can't find any firewall rules that may be only allowing for one way communication and have verified that the client is on the same subnet with the right ip scheme. Also logs show my pfsense wan interface reaching out to odd public ips on ephemeral ports and being blocked 100% of the time via a default deny ipv4 rule that I cannot configure if that is relevant. Been throwing my head at a wall for days on this one and can't find documentation online for one directional connectivity issues for in the private subnet for pfsense in aws. Any help is appreciated

Can you use your internal DHCP from aws on the LAN interface to assign a ip to the interface? If static is used ec2 instances cant reach the pfsense LAN, when dhcp address is added ec2 instance can,but the dhcp obviusly then give the pfsense LAn interface a GW

Same thing happened to me in the middle of my ENCOR test back in May 2022. I almost wasted too much time but I was able to just barely finish the questions in time. I don't know if I got anything correct in the lab question but I was able to pass the test. I am taking ENARSI in a few weeks and I am going to limit myself to 10 mins in the one lab question. Then move on no matter what.

Hey Tuff, with this setup would it be possible to reach the organization's local network from an EC2 instance? As I did not see where we specified the local network cidr.

I followed every step and created an EC2 but when i tried updating the ec2 it cannot go to internet. Kindly help, pls provide a guide on how to make the EC2 capable of going to internet. I tried issuing "sudo apt update" it says it cannot connect to any repository and the internet. I tried to ping other websites and external IPs but no connection. When I created an EC2 using the subnet "external-public" i can update the ec2 with packages and repositories. If I use "external-public" for EC2s, does it mean that the pfsense also controls the traffic to and fro the EC2? Many thanks.

Im currently redesigning my corp network to have all VPN endpoints terminate on our router thats sits behind a PFSense firewall. I have a requirments to have redundancy using AWS as well..Would is be feasible to have a s2s VPN from corp to AWS instance running VPN gateway as well? We currently dont have any servers/apps in AWS though.
