I tried a deep bed dirted tank top with 2+ inches of sand but the red heads geos made a mess of it

I hace similar fish only thing stopping me from going with live plants is my rotkeil severum, he isn't fully grown yet only about 6inches I tried placing a few hard leaf plants like anubias with big leafs but they were destroyed in 3 days

Great combination of fish! I have been looking for a festivum cichlid for months and it seems like nobody sells them where I live.

My dream tank minus the blue acaras and possibly change Angel fish for festive cichlid and have a group of 6 smaller species of silver dollars to contrast with the large number of smaller tetras

So here I can see Colombian Tetra, electric blue acara, angel fish, and for the last few seconds of the video at the back of the tank there is a blue cichlid with reddish colouration on the front of its face, can anyone tell me what species that is? It’s beautiful

It's a shame that the wild type blue acaras aren't very common, a wild type would make this tank look like you just took a slice from nature

A perfect balance of fishes and design aesthetics. I haven't seen a talking catfish in ages! It's the kind of tank I've always kept.
