Definitely not shipping containers. This was built in 2014 and it's 7 levels high. No way in hell would NYC allow cheap Corten Steel cans be stacked 7 high for habitability. No way, no how. Painted Cortan Steel shipping containers rust under the paint and the container is unusable in 5 to 7 years to store houseold items let alone human habitation. These units were installed 9 years ago.

this is so amazing it's incredible the building possibilities are endless I would just like to ask two questions please someone answer me how did they put the Elevator Shaft in and to the plumbing how does this work I've been looking at some of the buildings that are like three and four story tall but I cannot be a person constantly walking up and down 4 to 6 story building they never seem to improvised an elevator so if there is anyone who is doing a shipping container houses that are high rise or four to six stories high please can you go into more detail with showing this incredible building with these new shipping containers as well as the Boxabl as they go higher where does an elevator go to do you have to attach it to the side is it put into the middle isn't as edition how does that work as well of course Plumbing which is really still blowing my mind there because I was trying to figure out if anything goes wrong like a you know what pipe breaks whatever how they get in and fix that would definitely would like to possibly see more and a slow the video down a little bit they show it so fast that you will get a chance to see all of them details

It was obvious that the city was in possession of the judge issued warrant which stated inspection for electrical only, yet the city staff decided to add other conditions that were not sanctioned by the court. They illegally searched for water and plumbing issues. They tried hard to find something they could violate the owner with but they found nothing. Pure harassment. They seem to be harassing low income tenants to find problems and make them pay for even minor repairs. Making up reasons to search and harass the tenants and often finding nothing was in violation of housing codes. The city falsified the scope of the warrant to the tenant. I would think the judge would be angry that they did not follow the parameters stated in the warrant. The city should be held responsible for the flagrant misuse and deception in this incident. i don't think those are actually shipping containers. they look like pre-fab modules-- they're too square in their end dimensions to be high cube, and they'd require too much additional structural support to be standard containers, especially given the fact that, as they're placing them, you can see that they're not intact cubes. if these were containers with interior corrugations cut out, the sheer volume of structural steel required to stack them that high would be prohibitive. still, it's an elegant design overall, and there's nothing wrong with pre-fab modules.
