One of my top 5 places to BASE jump. (east side so no wind blows you into the cliff)
This is so helpful for our upcoming trip. Thank you!
Gotta see it to believe it. Those cliff side views are something to behold.

Beautiful! 🔥🖤🔥🖤🔥
There's free camping in that area as well if you go straight instead of making that left turn to get to the park from the main road.
I thought this campground was nothing short of scuzzy. The roads are terrible, and many of the campsites are not even close to level. We stayed one night in M 68 which is close to the power lines. The asphalt walkway to the bathrooms was cracked and broken, this place does a disservice to an otherwise beautiful spot.
You just showed this nerd with glasses talking and didn't even show the water falls?! Is someone smoking crack in the marketing department?
I thought this was a cute place but so many unleashed dogs that it just wasn't safe for me
That is such a bummer about the unleashed dogs ruining it for you. Thanks for your comments. We hope other viewers see your comments and appreciate them as much as we do :)
Horrible experience. Worst place I have stayed for the price.
Do u need permit for a utv ?
Love your campground reviews ! Please do more such as Spanish fork reservoir and Payson lake
If it helps we have straight talk and cell service was good.
This is hilarious!! I live 5 min from this park. Have lived in the valley my whole life and no one uses Utah Lake like this! Haha Very little of this footage is taken at Utah Lake. Utah lake is dirty, full of bugs, and was polluted in for years from Geneva Steel. I have seen dead animals dumped in the lake. This is a great example of how disconnected social media can be from real life. 😂
It may be time to visit the park again, good sir :) The vast majority of the footage is from the park. We have a few clips scattered throughout that we use as b-roll, which are stock footage clips. We often can't film every single scene at the parks due to various factors, so we supplement with stock footage that showcases certain activities, but that doesn't take away from what people do at the park itself (i.e. boating, fishing, biking on the paths, etc.). However, all of the campsite footage and most other clips are from the park itself. 👍🏻
Thanks for the review. I will go there next year for sure
Hope you enjoy it!
What site is closet to the water going this week?
If my SUV has a roof top tent can i park it on one of the beach sites?
Just the video I was looking for! Does anyone know the ideal time to go in regard to weather?
super helpful video! thank you!
Use to be a nice quiet place.😢
Pit toilets with no showers or hook ups.
Which RV site is closest to the water with power hook ups?
Cisco beach has restrooms and showers? Is there any hookups?
Misleading clickbait...the picture in the thumbnail is not Scofield State Park.
RV sites are taking over, with all their loud generators and bright lights and partiers....even during "quiet hours!" It's hard to find quiet, private tent sites anywhere these days. Even here, there are very few tent-only sites compared to the RV sites.
Okay, I went to this State Park. I was a little nervous because it is so remote. Literally only one person I talked to had even heard of it. But, let me tell you, it is my favorite. The beach front spots have electric and water. The dump station is easy to use and get to. The protected picnic table area is a great place to put the paddleboards etc when the afternoon wind picks up. The little store across the street has free internet so you can check emails and make calls from there. (After hours, you can still do it from the picnic table outside the door). I stayed in spot OC001, frankly because it was what was available on that side. I think it is the best spot. On one side is just for day use. So you really only have neighbors on one side.
How is the road getting there? Is it all repaired? When I was there in the late Spring it was damaged
Will they ever add power?
From what we gather, it will be quite a while before adding power. Still a fun place!
Onw!!!!
This is a super fun park. I stayed at the new campground in the back in site. Dunes are great. See if you can find Sasquatch!! No cell coverage but go over to the entrance building for limited internet.
Always adding value. You da best!
Thanks for a great overview of this state park!
Our pleasure!
Thanks for the information, love it!
Glad it was helpful!
It's a great park! How'd you guys manage to get permission to film over the campgrounds? The rangers are telling me we can only fly out drone over the areas where people aren't located. Was there someone specific you had to get permission with in order to fly over the campgrounds? Thanks in advance.
We’ve been working with the State of Utah to purchase/obtain special use permits to allow us to film the campgrounds with our drones in the state parks. We also try to film whenever we can in the offseason (to avoid crowds).
@@seemycampsite Thanks! Who do you think I should contact to get permission?
@@RoadtrippinwithTakacs, Your best bet is probably to go through the state park manager for each location you visit. That's where we first had some success.
@@seemycampsite I appreciate it.
A quick note that the reservoir water level in this video is lower than usual (we try to film campgrounds in the offseason to show as many empty campsites as possible... but as a result of it being later in the year, the reservoir was not as full because they typically drain it at the end of the season for local farmers).
Wow this was great! I wish all campsites had this keep it up!!!!!!
Thanks for the kind words! We have more videos in the pipeline coming soon, so it's good to hear that the content is helpful!
Heade there soon!!
Let us know how your trip goes :)
Very nice review of the campground , but you missed site #27 in the basin campground with full hookup
Thanks for the comment! We’ll see if we can remedy that in a future video (we plan on releasing updated videos each year to ensure that campers have the most up-to-date information).
Good day to you too! Love your UA-cam channel!
Well, hey there! I know you! (Nice to hear from you on the channel, Melissa! Thanks for the shout out!)
I love Lilly Lake Campground. We camped there every summer when I was a kid. You mention Lilly Lake, but it’s right next to Teapot Lake, too, which is a much bigger lake, and the lake people really camp there for.
Thanks for the comment! And that's good info for campers who want to explore the nearby geography.
Thank you guys!! Your videos are super useful!!!!
Thanks for passing this along! We're happy the content has been helpful for you.
Adam, this is one of the best campground reviews I’ve ever seen. I occasionally do reviews of CGs on my channel and I know how time consuming it can be, but the fact that you did aerials AND included measurements of each site was going above and beyond! Well done! 👍
Wow, thanks so much for your nice comment! That is much appreciated (especially coming from a veteran camper and UA-camr like yourself). Thanks again!
These are so helpful! Thanks so much for making these videos.
Thanks for the thoughtful comment!
So glad I found your channel. It makes camp prepping for a family 100x easier. Thanks ya'll, keep up the great work lads!
Thanks so much! We hope it helps!
Great video... This is so detailed and helps tremendously! Thanks for putting together such well thought out content.
Thanks so much! We hope it helps!
Bigfoot territory! 🙄
Indeed! Maybe one day we'll capture him on camera!
Great video! Thanks! Maybe I missed it but how is the internet by chance? We are going soon but I have to work and I’m worried about reception. Thank you!
Thanks for the comment, and apologies for the delayed response! While we were filming, we had good coverage with Verizon... and AT&T as well as T-Mobile both show good service on their maps. Quail Creek is located near the town of Hurricane (the locals pronounce the town name 'Hurri-cun', just as a heads up), so if for some reason you're getting bad service, you're just a 5-10 minute drive away from the town to get back online.
awesome video, how far are hiking trails from the campgrounds or day use areas? thanks for sharing
Apologies for the delayed response! Huber Grove Trail, Spring Pond Loop, and Mid-Mountain Loop are all relatively close to this state park... a couple of these trailheads I believe are right near the Visitor Center. Here is a link that shares a bit more detail: stateparks.utah.gov/2015/06/25/top-three-hikes-at-wasatch-mountain-state-park/
Cool video Do they only rent to people with a camper or RV where would they rent a site to you if you had a truck and flatbedtrailer ?
That's a great question; we're not entirely sure on flatbed trailers, but we have seen trucks with integrated campers there. It might be worth calling the main office to double-check: 435-680-0715
Hi Matt, We love watching your videos. I know you mentioned that Washington Lake and Trial Lake campgrounds were in process of being made. Any idea of a release date? We are anxious to see them, Thanks so very much.😀
Thanks for the comment, Colleen! We’re glad the videos are helpful to you. We have filmed a lot of the campgrounds around Mirror Lake Highway and we’ll see if we can prioritize those two for you (they should hopefully be out within the next 30 days or so, depending on how fast our editors can move through the finalization process). Thanks!
Is Allow to kayak there ?
We've seen kayaks and other related watercraft on the Great Salt Lake (both at Antelope Island State Park as well as Great Salt Lake State Park); I would avoid doing so in the summer months, as the insects are pretty strong during that period.
Nice videos! May give a suggestion? Why not do it bilingual for those folks that only speak Spanish? Id be more than happy to help i am fluent in castellano. Just a suggestion 😊
¡Gracias por comentar, y estamos de acuerdo! ¡Estaremos creando versiones en español muy pronto!
