The chapters are 4 and IV (... :P ) and they happen in parallel... ish. It's more of a choice of which character you want to follow first rather than a chronological choice.

@@KickBackStudio I see. Also unrelated but I can't figure out how to get the "Thinking Outside the Box" achievement in Lost Echo, even after 3 whole playthroughs 😭 It's the last one I need for a 100% completion

@@doge9693 you need to cheat the chess game in chapter 3. Go look at the chess puzzle in chapter 3, don't solve it, go to your home, use the computer, then go "cheat".

Hi, I'm a little confused on where exactly you are stuck, the in game hint system (you access by tapping in the middle top of the screen) should point you in the right direction. In any case: You can record the icecream seller by using your phone on him then choosing the correct dialogue option. If John won't play with you, maybe you've already figured how he is cheating? Otherwise, you should be able to choose to play with him. Feel free to e-mail us (find the e-mail on our website) with more details about where you're stuck, I'm not quite sure what the problem is.

We're a bit amazed too, and exhausted, and a little scared, because even if the game does amazing, chances are it won't do "10 years worth of work" amazing, but at the point we're hoping it does "well" whatever that means. We just hope that all the work we put in will show in the final product.

It's okay. We mention some stuff in the sequel again, and I think we'll probably release a "previously on Lost Echo" or something like video to refresh people's memories on the important plot points.

Yes, but it was unintentional. I had watched the series like a year before I wrote the track, then wrote the track, then before release I re-watched a random Nisemonogatari episode and went "hmm", but I didn't feel it was so close that I needed to change it. I wanted to name the track "Nisemono" to wear the influence on our sleeve (in fact, the filename is called "Nisemono_0") then I thought maybe that would be asking for trouble. In other influence related news, the track that plays in home at the day time (Returning), was influenced by a track from Kino No Tabi 2003 (the first half of this: ua-cam.com/video/__DqTa3KK-0/v-deo.html ), although in they aren't really all that similar.

By the way, we have a Discord (link in the description) these days where you could potentially ask more questions if you want. It is not very active, but I check it daily.

@@KickBackStudio wow, now I love Lost Echo even more, I was around 13 when I've played Lost Echo for the first time and I remember that I really liked the soundtracks and looked for them right away after finishing the game; 8 years after (I guess) I started the Monogatari series and yeah, I find kizuna very familiar and then I remembered that I heard a thing like this in lost echo, anyway, I think that it's truly cool after all, I love both lost echo and monogatari; and also thanks for the informations about that other track. (Sorry for my bad english, I'm not a native English speaker)

That might be a while longer, since we are changing engines after we are done with Resonance and that complicates things a bit.

Unfortunately, I don't really like the results that AI voice tools give... :/ We'd like to at least have some lines recorded by voice actors, but I don't think we can do it for the initial release.

There are two chapters, one with Greg and one with Chloe, you can choose the order to play them. Greg's chapter is a bit... out there :) Chloe's chapter is more along the lines of the first game.

@@KickBackStudio It's like the dichotomy of ideal and real. Although, the dialogue sneak peek with Chloe had a lot of surreal absurdity. The environment and lightning, snarky silhouette of a therapist. Talks about praying to a big head statue of a niche psychologist and life having no narrative consistency. :)

@@AHeroWith1000Names Chloe's part gets weird too (also I'm not sure if the therapist part is going to stay like that :P ), but the biggest part of her chapter is "normal".

It was exclusive for our Discord members for a while, yes :)
