You can upgrade the NEO CN to a .5mm, but it takes different parts, and I haven't tested whether the extra gaskets will allow you to up the PSI like the Monster here...

I think the Monster would be perfect for that application! A standard airbrush is going to take a LONG time to cover a bike frame and could leave uneven areas... A larger airbrush would be great but could waste quite a bit of paint with overspray not to mention that you don't have the space for the larger gun and compressor. The Monster fits into that nice middle category and I think it would work great for your needs 👍

@@GetDecimated Tanks so much! Would you know what the difference in the size of the spray? i.e. 1" for the 0.35 vs. 2" for the monster 0.5?

@@2pacjordan That's a very difficult question to answer... First, you would have to pick a set distance from what you are spraying. Anyone who has done any airbrushing knows that the further back you hold your brush, the larger the coverage area, but more overspray you are going to get. The Monster is better at being held back further for even coverage rather than trying your best to get even coverage with the smaller spray areas. Second, you would have to set a standard psi for both tests. The Monster's extra gaskets allow it to be run at a higher psi, so you have to ask if the comparison is being done at the standard psi for the .35, or the higher one for the .5. Lastly, there is the question of "flow time" since the larger needle size is also going to put out more volume of material and the higher psi is going to spray it quicker, there's a big difference there as well. Generally the way to go is to say that the Monster is smaller than an automotive sprayer, but larger than a standard airbrush...

The NEO TRN 2 already has the 0.5 mm needle/nozzle, and the side-cup on that sucker has a non-detachable "L" tube, so unfortunately there isn't much you can do in the way of upgrading those guys...
