On the last question (Q30), the line in option C should start from 0 cm3. That’s why there is a systematic error.

Question 11 - As t is Z+, t=1 is Jan 1, t=365 is Dec 31. We want [1,103] and [247,365] but as discrete values. [1,103] has 103 days in the interval. [247,365] has 365-246 discrete days (eg. [5,10] has 10-4=6 days (days 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10). So total is 103+119=222.

Noticed an error for Q6a - trapezium approximation, where you've doubled the endpoint y-values (supposed to double the inside-values - formula sheet) although the answer is correct by coincidence, students wouldn't recieve full marks for the method used. Thank you for the video, your explanations are helpful!

Hey NBEASTK! Thanks so much for the video! Still a little bit confused with question 29 option D. Why wouldn't getting a lower mass decrease no. of moles and hence conc.?

I don't get how, for Q2c, 0 cannot also be an answer. If a=0, the first equation would be a horizontal line, y=3/2 and the second equation would be a vertical line: x=1/2. They would be perpendicular to each other as well.

Q7 has still got me stumped Not sure why g'(x^2) = 2x.g(x^2) Sure enough we know to to use chain rule for functions like g(x) = whatever .... but the reasoning for the chain rule in the question for g(x^2) is baffling....

Don't know why I'm here with all my spesh exams done. But last question instead of using quadratic formula why wouldnt you simply complete the square?. Way more efficient and less likely to make silly mistakes.

For Q8d I think the n must be odd integers 1,3,5.....

for the trapezium question finding the area should you just count the amount of sqaures and find the area of each square which is approx 6 sqaures so 6 x 200 x 1000 x 1000 = 1.2 x 10^9 which is quite different to your answer of 4.1x10^9 so am i missing smth here

Is your solution for question 7b correct? You said the length for the side is 4cm, when it's actually 6cm. Is that an error or am I misreading the question?

Hi there, just a little confusion. In question 10a, where you said the current is 15Amps, arent you supposed to find the peak current because it said 15Amps was the RMS value, so 15 x root 2 = 21.21 Amps peak. And then sub that into the Ploss = I^2 R equation? Also, because it was worth 3 marks, it would make sense to do a little more working out.

Thanks for your solutions, but wouldn’t question 2di, the value of m be 2pi/15? Because if you’re doubling the speed you halve the period so you do 2pi/n=15 which is 2pi/15 for m? Thanks

Question 1d I’m pissed I didn’t get the values of both a and b. I’ll at least get two marks for the b values but I didn’t get the a’s. Now that I look back at it it was so easy

Question 4 I agree with your answer, but a small point that when you graphed, you graphed with the value of p=+1 (you typed x^n -x + 1) and the form of the function is x^n -px +1. To be honest I'm not sure why they stipulated p<0 since it appears to make no difference. Perhaps we'll both find out when they release answers...

Question 3 c. the answer is 27/81 but this simplifies to 1/3.

For 2(e) I reckon they'd be looking for the student to explicitly demonstrate and state that the left hand limit is not equal to the right hand limit. But hey this is VCAA and it's only 1 mark so who knows, right?

For 1(h) you can more quickly use the method of corresponding coefficients to say that if (x+1) = (mx + n) then m=1 and n=1 OR if (x+3)=(mx+n) then m=1 and n=3.
