Join me in aspects of my life from sewing to renovating to gardening, visiting vide greniers (flea markets), ruins, dolmens and forest walks.
I'm a dreamer, a lover of nature, a creative soul who is inspired by the world around me. x

#38 Central heating and a hidden celler
Hi all, this week I clean the central heating wood burner and remove the flues so that it's ready for the chimney sweep to come. It's an old C/H system but it does work and I'm thankful I have it.
Hidden beneath the little barn is an old cave ( cellar) complete with some old preserved meat.......

Hello everyone, In this episode I re-upholster an old headboard which had seen better days with recycled fabric. It quite a challange to to it's size and my workshop being rather small. I then grabbed my tents, packed the car full and went camping. We had a fab time even though I did forget to pack one crucial item- the camping stove! We lived off bread, cheese and chocolate spead for the weeke...

What a lovely calm vlog. Love watching you in your garden and sewing. I’m a quilter so enjoy the sewing and making bags etc. Thank you for helping the Moons when they were away for a holiday. You, Rosalie and Melissa/Paul did an awesome job! Watching you from Brisbane Australia 🇦🇺🦘
I need to get out into the garden to do a bit of a tidy up now the flowers have all gone. Maybe once Christmas is over😉 Actually I've just had a go at quilting the other day, I made a cushion for the market. It should be in the next vlog. 🥰
The footage of the village at the beginning was, as always, beautifully filmed. I love the way you show us details that others would miss (the shelter iron work). Interesting to see your burner cleaning too. Oh, and I love that food cellar - how useful! 🙂
Thank you, it's nice to know others appreciate what I see or they way I see things 🥰
Have missed you. Love your vlogs. See you gardening and sewing. And clean the heter.
Hello Ann, I need to get stuck into garden work once Christmas is done. I'm in full sewing mode at the moment and my sewing room looks like a bomb has hit it😃🥰
Thank you for the update. It was interesting to see how you heat your home and the maintenance required for the wood burner. The old cellar was interesting. You seem to be set if there are electricity shortages. I was watching another vlog how food was kept fresh by burying in dirt and sand. There are many who are still living in off grid homes using the same systems. I hope you are feeling better soon. I hope you have a wonderful week and achieve everything you intended with ease and grace. Enjoy creating.
Thank you for your comment and for watching 🥰
Excellent vlog. I really enjoyed it. It was good to see you.
Thank you and it's lovely to hear from you.
hello from Ottawa Canada
Good morning to you in Ottowa. 🥰
Good evening Sian, this is perfect timing for settling down for the night and listening to the calming music, scenery, listening and watching all your jobs around and about. A super video as always. Lovely to hear your calming voice again...even with your cold! Warm wishes for your speedy recovery very soon. Take care. ☺
Thank you Helen 😊🥰
Thank you Sian, Rosalie and of course Melissa for keeping everyone safe and taken good care of them all while the family had a much needed break, the video is beautiful ❤️
Thank you 🥰
Absolutely loved your video
Hi Judith, thank you for watching 🥰
So pretty. love the stone wall.
Lavender Spread allot. mine all did good then the next year nothing.
It's about 7 months since I planted it now, I don't think they like the location very much. They have grown quite well but the lower leaves have turned black which can't be a good sign.
Thank you for sharing, Sian! I'm an avid follower of The Moons and their AMAZING Magical Kingdom and have been from day one.
That's great 🥰🌙 and thank you for watching.

You all did an amazing job looking after the Moon farm and filming. Thank You!
Just subscribed!! So excited! I was close to tears, seeing the love & hard work the Angels provided while The Magical Moons had time away, as a family. And I LOVE YOU, as 1 who learned how to work with horses during a brief, magical time in my early 20's. I am an old lady in Southern California, USA, & your lives in rural France bring me joy. Blessings.
Just found your Beautiful channel. ‘The Moons’ is an escape I need and now have your channel 💕 I live in America
