Bare Hands Flounder and crab catching with Jerry's LED's plus gigged a sheepshead
Having fun in the water. I seen a couple flounder too small to stab and take home, so I caught them bare handed and released them. Had to discipline a crab for robbing my fish.
While reaching for the fish, I covered the camera and missed the actual grab. Twice. I will have help with recording in the future.
Quality lights make it easier. I recommend using Jerry's LED'S at www.jerrysleds.com.

2,000k vs 3,000k Jerry's LED's Flounder Gigging Light Comparison (try to spot the crab & flounder)
Переглядів 14 тис.3 роки тому
In this video, I will be comparing 2000k with the 3,000k from Jerry's LED's. I will be using a 2 in 1 light head, with 84w of 2,000k, and 3,000k , on a single light head. Easily switching from one color to the next. I made a video, on the same topic as the previous video, because the last video seemed too long. Like that sentence, too long. I wanted to simplify things, so I started over. I've b...

In this video I will show a close up look at the 84w 2000k & 84w 3000k, 2 in 1 Flounder Gigging Light from Jerry's LED's. The video will include a quick unboxing, a look before and after light pole assembly, and a comparison of the 2 options (2,000k & 3,000k) in murky water, and in cleaner water. Even the cleaner water was not so clean. Typical for north east Florida. The 3,000k will be a warm ...

Wade gigging in North East Florida. Water temperature is about 60°F. Air temperature is mid to upper 40's. Water clarity is good in most areas. I'll be discussing a couple simple strategies, for getting the fish and staying reasonably safe. If you are in a hurry, and stopped here to see a fish stab, skip ahead to about 5:45/ 6:00. First stab of the video. 3 fish altogether. If you enjoyed this ...

On this cold water gigging trip, I will do a gear review. Let the viewers know what I am carrying with me. Then I'm going to cook a meal using a jet boil, (just the burner, not the mug) in a debris shelter. With amazing scenery as the sun sets. Temperatures will be in the low 50s to upper 40's. This is part 1, with 2 more videos on the way. Including the actual flounder gigging. Followed by fil...

We are crossing Black Creek, a spring fed creek, near its beginning, and hiking into Jennings Forest. Relaxing in our hammocks, and eating lunch. We climb a tower used to measure floods from heavy rains, in the valley created by the creek. We seen a turkey when we first began our Escapade. And a small 3' alligator, about 40' from the place we crossed the creek on our way back. Good exercise, fr...

What the hell kind of midievil torture instrument is that gig? Kinda overkill don't you think? Why in the world would you need to use that especially wading? That's not respecting the fish.

I agree. This gig is more than what I should need for flounder. But it's exactly what I need for big sheepshead when wading deeper water. I'll post these videos soon. What is your opinion of the rest of the video?

@@floridaescapades4837 I absolutely love flounder gigging. It's more hunting than fishing. Unfortunately because of health issues I'll probably not be floundering for a very long time. So I crave floundering videos and yours are very good. Thank you.

I buy the lights from Jerry's LED's @ www.jerrysleds.com. Then I mount the light to pvc for wade gigging. I've only built them for myself. I wouldn't mind assembling a wading set up for you.

They both work great, i used the warm white for about 6 years, and i just recently switched over to the amber and there are some things i miss with the warm white that the amber doesn't do. But witch ever you choose you wont be disappointed. Regardless you'll still be able to see the flounder. Nothing will beat Jerry's LEDs

I have 3 of those rigged up on my boat. I started out really liking the 3000k especially in clearer water. But now I pretty much only use the 2000K. I mainly flounder in murky river water. Going to add a couple 40 watt lights above water. The above water lights cover a much larger area, especially when you are in shallow murky water.....

    • @floridaescapades4837

Sounds like a good set up. I use 4, 100w, and 1, 168w on my boat. All are 2,000k. And below water. Lights up as far as I can see and still spot a fish. And I agree, those 40w lights above water do have a huge spread. I'm up in Michigan until September. I can't wait to get back in the water and stab some fatties!
