I've played this a number of times in the past, probably because it's one of my favorite piano pieces, with its shimmering and ethereal qualities. I probably play it with more rubato and slower than most would, and with more mistakes too! Kawai MP11 & CFX Grand, unedited.

Practice Session #1: Liszt Piano Sonata in B minor
Переглядів 3,7 тис.3 роки тому
Here is the first time I've recorded this Sonata in full. My nervousness comes through in the form of rushing (my excuse is that I was distracted by the heat and sweating), though arguably, I still lack the maturity to produce a good musical (and technical) rendition of this work. I hope to work it to performance standard, but on earth, nothing is as polished as we would hope. My recently diagn...

Piano Recital 16 Feb 2018 (Bach, Ravel, Chopin Ballades)
Переглядів 6164 роки тому
My first live "recital" in 11 years. How amazing it is that all I practiced for example, phrasing and not rushing was promptly forgotten at the first note. Far from what I intended it to be, but it's a good reminder of the contrast between a live performance and the idealized environment and safety of a practice room (or edited recording), and nevertheless I'm glad to be able to share some of m...

Franz Liszt - La Campanella (Synthogy Ivory American Concert D)
Переглядів 3 тис.6 років тому
The third of six Grand Paganini Études. I think I should blame my keyboard for the missed repeated notes ;) Getting a 'perfect' take was impossible, and mistakes on this peace are extremely audible, but the sparseness and lightness which makes mistakes so clear is also what gives it its charm and beauty. As usual, I could have practiced more, but for me, it's time to move on to the next adventu...
Grieg - Piano Concerto in A minor, 3rd movement (Virtual Orchestra)
Переглядів 6267 років тому
Worked on this over a period of 2 weekends, which is the amount of time I allocated to this project, even though there is still room for improvement. Ignore the barlines, they have no meaning (I didn't set up a tempo track). Since I didn't have a tempo track or metronome to synchronize to, the process was: record 2 piano version (you might notice the leftover "Piano 2" part, then record the orc...
Chopin Ballade No.4 in F minor (Synthogy Ivory American Concert D)
Переглядів 7 тис.7 років тому
If you are looking for a professional musical performance, I recommend that you look elsewhere! This is a merely a side hobby of mine, to play one of my favorite Chopin works, with the best equipment that I have access to (unfortunately, not a real piano). Tools used: Kurzweil SP3X, Cubase Studio 4, Synthogy Ivory II American Concert D. Performance is not edited.

Wonderful!
Thank you for this rendition which spoke to my heart and circumstances. I like that you used theme appropriate background graphics, ones that were not distracting.
VENI veni, Emmanuel captivum solve Israel, qui gemit in exsilio, privatus Dei Filio. R: Gaude! Gaude! Emmanuel, nascetur pro te Israel!O COME, O come, Emmanuel, and ransom captive Israel, that morns in lonely exile here until the Son of God appear. R: Rejoice! Rejoice! O Israel, to thee shall come Emmanuel!Veni, O Sapientia, quae hic disponis omnia, veni, viam prudentiae ut doceas et gloriae
Nice tempo, clean touch, rich sound all was good
Absolutely beautiful. May I use this for our Christmas eve service?
awsome
My famorite hymn and beautiful rendition. My only wish is that there were vocals too.
I do not say this lightly. This was a fantastic version of this song! Absolutely beautiful version of this song!
The piano sound (and of course the performance) is beautiful. Is the piano sound directly internally recorded, or is it mic'ed from the hall speakers?
Its like the same sound on traum piano, maybe he used that kind of piano
BRAVO. Thanks a lot for recording this piece, the way you recorded it. With all the mistakes, wrong notes, and approximate fast parts. This is almost more important than a pro, clean video. First, you can proudly say: "I nailed it." No discussion. 100% validated. And this is a genuine MONSTER. But even in this "practice" mode, I had the tears and chills. So you can be proud. But moreover, your video is a huge "You can do it" call, to amateur pianists like me. An invitation to believe in your dreams (as long as you can put the sweat and years of hard work behind it). So for this, thank you.
Holy shit you are a great player. I hope you are able to overcome the arthritis
The Kawai really sounds great and so does your playing!
Wow, you're playing under 45 degress F? That's bad!!! And, by the way, you got yourself a nice recording setup, sounds good.
As amazing as this is normally, try listening at 75% speed. It becomes the hauntingly beautiful prayer of a people begging for their savior to come and rescue them from a world turned against them.
wow! bravo! do you prefer Garritan cfx or ivory steinway D?
This is phenomenal. Thank you so much for your ministry and sharing your talents. I will definitely need to use this for a worship service!
Beautiful. The ballade wow!
Saw this on my recommended, clicked. Really good! really, really good. if you need some help with those thirds hit me up. rest was awesome.
What an intense program. Great playing!
very good interpretation!!!!!
Hi, wich are you presets settings in american concert D please.
Unfortunately it was a long time ago and I didn't keep the settings around, sorry!
Hi. Can you tell me wich are the presets settings did you use in American concert D, for this ballade?. Thanks
I am truly astonished by your playing. Not only technically wise (don't need to be so moderate about your technique, if I went to a concert and listened to a pro play like you I would stand up and applaud as loud as I could), but you also feel the music so well, this is very similar of how I would play it if I was at your level. Thank you so much for sharing, you are an amazing artist! Keep up! I am the 100th like on your video, I hope you get many more hundreds.
Incredible. Very nice
I cannot believe this video has only 1.8k views and a guy playing Pirates of the Caribbean theme has 21 million.
Well Zimmerman's performance of this piece has 2 million views if that makes ya feel better.
However, those videos actually have 40 million views lol
@@thenotsookayguy it has been 84 years... 🫠
how long have u been playing for?
Hey man really neat practice video very nice playing i enjoyed this a lot.. could you please share your garritan cfx settings if possible?
Thank you for share your music-You play beautiful-You make me go back to practice this song-I stop 6 months ago because it’s so difficult at the last 4 pages-
Excellent !
라벨 눈물의 요정 ㅠㅠㅠㅠ
How humbling, you're sitting in an office chair, playing on a digital piano and still manage to make amazing music. I have no excuse. Time to get to work
Quite beautiful rendition. Beautiful voice! Thank you for posting.
Did you use a microphone to record this?
There is some added "breath" sounds from the microphone, but the piano is direct from the virtual instrument.
Anyone who can play this deserves an order.
Fr
Pains my soul to think this might never be performed live. You have achieved what I hope to someday accomplish, fantastic arrangement. I love the James Bond dorianesque harmony in the beginning and end.

It's sad that you couldn't playad on some stainway. I don't like keybords 'cause of the feeling of touching and sound alone. But your interpretetion is good. I root for you to work hard on that masterpiece and make it sound like Traums or Martha's!
AMAZINGGG!! You played it really well. Respect
