The unremarkable life of Ulrika. I'm a co-rider at two different stables. I've been Pearl's co-rider since 2017, and Caprise's since June 2024. I've had two other co-riding horses, that for different reasons didn't work out. I'm an amateur equestrian.
Lots of horses a few cats and nature. A little bit of rock music. The things that bring meaning to my life.

Such a lovely little ride on Caprise today. Her owner walked me around some country lanes and it was warm and beautiful this evening. I took my time filling up the water and I was caught between a big cutie and a small cutie 🥰

Time has really flown by so quickly. Summer is going to turn into autumn and I will learn what Caprise, this absolut sweetheart of a horse, is like in the colder seasons. So Pearl is sometimes used as a therapy horse and today her owner guided me through such an amazing stress relief. Floodgates opened and the stress flowed out with tears running from my eyes. And Pearl helped me the whole time. She breathed with me and she was absolutely the best medicine ever. I love ❤️ her so much! I can truly recommend it. If you find a good place you don't have to have experience with horses before ❤
Maybe I should try to find horse therapy, but I don't have much experience with horses 🙂. My job is really stressful too. Good to hear that you got some stress out.
I guess the horse can push you over easily if they scratch on you.

@@AJAY-mn9qb Hi nice to see you here. I am just an amateur rider, I ride because I love horses and they give me exercise and piece of mind. I have about 20 years of experience though.
@@ulrikasunremarkablelife I love horses; however, I live in the city now, if I ever get to move back to the country I would love to have 1 or 2.
@@AJAY-mn9qb I am a co-rider to two horses. I get to enjoy them but only have the responsibility for them on my days with them. I could never afford to own a horse, so that is just a dream for me. Hope you can find a way to spend time with horses even when you live in a city.
@@ulrikasunremarkablelife I can't afford a horse right now either. I'm live in Washington, DC and the economy and prices of everything is crazy. I also rescue cats...the ones from off the street that need help, and I feed 2 feral colonies...and that gets really expensive. Hopefully things will improve and I can do more. We do have stables here in Rock Creek Park, where you can go and ride, it's like a hidden gem in the city.
@@AJAY-mn9qb I love cats too, and luckily I get to snuggle with the barn cats. It's really great that you help the unfortunate ones that don't have a home.
Moreover I wish someone hadn’t harmed me and bullied me out of my home in Colorado while accusing me of murdering my husband who died of cancer. Maybe someone can explain how something like that happens.

Never use wire fences for horses. Store hay off the ground when feeding it to horses!
Not my horses so not my decision. However the hay is stored on raised planks.

She's getting blood work in a couple of days and a test for worms. Unfortunately they suspect Cushing.

I mostly cuddle with them and sometimes see if they are in need of water or food. But they live at the barn and have people looking after them 🙂
