What disturbed me the most is that insomniac try to be a woke game like come on i have nothing against the LGBTQ but a side mission where u have to help two gays bringing together is just weird and why is mj more overpowered than tve spidermans that doesn‘t make any sense it‘s a spiderman game and i don‘t think the third game will be different they are messed up the first game was the only good game lost potential and the story was so terrible for kraven and venom….

Tbh I don't have much hope for the 3rd game. How can they cook for the ps4 game and then completely lose all sense of things in the 2nd game.

for me at least the game just looks ugly in some aspects like the faces always looked uncanny and the game somehow just looks worse than miles morals, as well, the corny dialogue just took me out, i would get immersed and the theyd say a corny line and id just cringe, itd never happen if peter said it bc thats like part of his character but if anyone else said a corny line, itd just kill the immersion for me

Honestly they shot too high from the beggining. They should've written it so that it ends with Dark Peter as the final boss. That way all the other plots have room to breathe. First game had MrNegative and Otto as main villians. Second one should've focused on Lizard and Kraven. Also a quote from a legend "A rushed game is forever bad. A delayed game is eventually good"

Also, gotta say: the most painful part about the symbiote gameplay is… *It will be another generation** *AT BEST* before we get another interpretation of the symbiote suit. *And I don’t mean game gen; I mean LITERALLY a generation if we’re lucky since Sony has an iron-grip on Spider-Man’s IP.

I thought I was the only one that realized these plot flaws, but it seems everyone did. You captured everything I saw as plot holes, and you demonstrated evry frustration I had with the Venom plot and Peter's symbiote arc. In my opinion, the game is a rushed masterpiece. I'd give it an 8.5, would have been a 10 if they went with whst you suggested as story fixes.

8.3 is such an odd rating😂 but I agree. I give the game an 8.5 because I think it's a great game especially in the gameplay, visuals, performancs. But has an 8/10 story that was executed in a 6/10 manner for me which I could tell was rushed

Honestly Kraven made this game so much better, glad he was in it, as soon as there was a cutscene my mind begged it wasn’t another mission. That one in Normans millionaire apartment thing was beyond pain, I don’t like searching how to complete stuff because it defines of the point of a challenge, but I was in it for at least 40 minutes before searching it up on UA-cam. I enjoyed this game just a tad bit more than the first, it’s close, Harry was probably one of my favourite characters in this game, as well as Kraven, they got everything for Kraven spot on.

I mean, yeah that was some things that I didn’t like about the games but overall the first one was epic. Miles Morales was amazing and I have not finished Spider-Man 2 yet. But it has been pretty good as well. I must say I was very surprised to see Peter Parker die. I was not expecting that.

For the first part on Peter being quote on quote stabbed easily listen it wasn’t easy the reason why Peter was caught off guard was because he was already fighting before prior to reaching Kraven and also he is going through so much his powers won’t be at its fullest obviously and don’t give me bs saying it shouldnt because it should and yes it has for example in Ramis Spider-Man 2 Peter was struggling mentally which hindered his powers making it to where he couldn’t use them Spider-Man’s emotional state is important account for that before saying he is nerfed

I agree with a lot of thse criticism, but i think we should all accept that some storylines, need peter to struggle and be out of shape. May's death did that and if we want the best version of peter all the time the story wouldnt be as engaging

My biggest critique is the fact they gave us a 30 hour just pure story game and we got a 20 hour platinum

You know whats worse about the MJ missions? In an interview, the developers/ director decided that instead of working more on Venom and different game/story mechanics, they decided to take the worst parts of the previous games and DOUBLED DOWN on them

One of my biggest gripes with the story is the lack of the rest of the marvel universe being involved. The symbiote invasion is huge and the fact that nobody seems to care bothers me. The big argument for why there were no Avengers is that "Its Spider-Man game" and I agree. I think the solution is to not have Peter feel so washed out, and make it so the Avengers come in and arent at all equipped to deal with this. They lose and Peter and Miles still have to save the day and it would make their victory more impactful.

I just don’t understand how Norman Osborn didn’t say anything to MJ being with the 2 Spider-Men at the end of the game?? He clearly knows she’s Peter’s girlfriend but doesn’t say or suspects anything.

Miles was insufferable in this game, the whining and moping while Peter is dealing with so much and miles is just like "how can I make this about myself?" Plus the 🍆 riding insomniac is doing for miles is crazy even his combat is so easy and overpowered. Why is he even here they shouldve sent him off on a school trip or something to focus on peter and harry... Having played the 1st spiderman game again, even the dialogue is worse, the jokes are mcu level cringe. Ps4 spiderman game is superior in everything but graphics and gameplay but thats expected with a 5 year gap. This game was not bad but it was disappointing

Man look I liked playing as venom tbh. It was a fun time and killing Kraven was great, but end of the day I’ve already played Ultimate Spider-Man and fought Wolverine. I’ve played Spider-Man Friend or Foe. Playing as Venom took away what could’ve been an epic fight in Oscorp that leads to the streets of NY with Miles joining in. I mean look at 15:40. Peter is wearing a mask but we see a look go from “shock” to “alright it is what it is. Let’s go” And it was taken from us. I wanted to fight Venom normally to test our strength. Fight him normally and feel outmatched. Then Miles comes to even the odds. It’ll make the fight with the Anti-Venom that much better because we’ll know how it feels without it. Same with Kraven. Let me fight him normally and feel the sense that perhaps we underestimated this random hunter. Then the symbiote comes along and we feel its power. The player feels drawn to the symbiote. We as a player don’t wanna let it go. We like the tendrils. The surge. We like the power. We don’t wanna hold back. And Kraven notices too. Could’ve been much better boss fights

This game should’ve came out in late 2024 or early 2025. Many fans attack me cause I said this game came out to early for release
