2 PLL skips in a row is wild. Another one down in my quiet quest to beating every PR this year. A solid enough average, glad to have a PR where every solve was sub the previous PR average.

This finally snaps my podium dry streak I've been on since June 2024. Little embarrassing it took this long, but I'm glad to have done it on what was relatively a pretty good average (PR3 now).

I'm in a Yau transitional phase. Maybe it helped, maybe it was dumb luck. But this definitely FELT the fastest I've ever done a 4x4, and lo and behold, it was. I'm glad to have another official PB, I believe 3 is the most I've ever had at one time

Yes, I did get an OLL skip into an E perm, did more work to do the E Perm wrong, and blow on the corrective H perm, thank you for noticing. I'll take my gifted awards now

No frills, nothing exciting, just good clock solves. I think sitting and really thinking critically about what I'm doing, with a new, not worn out clock, has been huge. I think the Clock Block mental barrier is kind of gone at this point, which is huge

Sometimes, I just see something so silly, so ridiculous, it shocks me to my core. And this, this is that. I doubt I'm touching this PR anytime soon (or until the next dumb scramble is generated)

I came into this comp wanting a sub 5 skewb average, not that I did much practicing to earn it, it just felt right. Naturally, it was just about as close as I could get it without actually being fully satisfied.

Very, very fashionably late, I finally got my first sub 4 officially! I'd be in denial if I said the scramble wasn't a very key component in this, but I didn't blow it, and for that, I self congratulate.

This is so inexplicable, so inconceivable. I had exactly zero expectations for this solve (I was hit by a case of the giggles), yet I guess I was at least on a solid pace. Then, lo and behold, I'm hit with an OLL I actually know, followed by a PLL skip for an overall PB by about 6 seconds. Super, super happy with this, and I look forward to not beating this for many months.

Turns out, practicing megaminx when I can't fall asleep paid off. I finally have a PR average where there wasn't anything especially... unique... about at least one of the solves. I think I can get a sub 1:10 by the end of the year.

I really don't know what got into me this comp, I guess I was just meant to do well in 2x2 for me. I believe the last solve I did in this average was my 3000th officially, so I'm very glad that went to good use. And, on top of all that, this is my first pure sub 4 2x2 official average (so celebrates the one who hardly ever practices). Moral of the story, I look forward to getting a 5 second ave...

I know, I choose to inspect one handed because it A.) forces me to remember I’m doing OH, and B.) it keeps me in a mindset where I’m thinking about what’s better for an OH solve in terms of cross/first pair solutions
