he claims not to be a helicopter parent and not for bubble wrapping the world then why does he keep cry and going on and on about how unsafe it is. its not unsafe just not user friendly as tr should. but he keeps complaining about it, if you didnt care then you would go on crying about it. plus of course the tools are sharp, i want a sharp knife and awl and what not. instead he is crying and complaining that its not safe and bla bla. hey dude go the f back home and grow a pair and trying being prepared and not half arseing it.

  • @tommymadux3646

so this guy is a hack just like he is a hack at making crappy videos. multi tools are great to have for just in case but for someone to always relay on them and think they are great makes me question how much under prepared for life they are and how much have the hacked together using a multi tool. they are ok for a lot of things but never great and anything. plus if you are always relaying on your chitty multi tool then shouldn't you think about having some kit of tool kit available to you. if your listening to a hack about multi tools then best of luck to you. i bet money after you have a situation where your multi tool saves your day you will think im full of chit and the video was correct but once it happens over and over again and when you have a time where the multi tool gets you in worse trouble then you may go hey the person who relayed on a multi to is a total hack and nothing truly gets fixed or correctly taken care of. i also bet this guy is happy with getting by with doing the bare minimum. if that works for you then thumbs up but good luck at ever becoming anything to tell your mom about. sure the blade on this tool is a decent knife but the rest is an over weight pocket weight that sure has basic tools but way to thick, too heavy and bulky. plus opening the tools is horrible and not able to safely open one handed. i bet if you think this is a good multi too then i bet you never have really had to relay on a multi tool to get you home.

I’ve carried my K2 everyday since I’ve got it. I broke the tip off my first one, Leatherman replaced it. I’ve put a thumbstud on it and it’s perfect. I use the tools daily too. I only ever clip it to the outside of my pants and haven’t lost it yet. The pocket clip works great. (No upgraded version two years later)

Just getting into knives. I got the big idea design tpt slide which is just a tiny utility knife. Looking at the Benchmade Bugout now but not sure which to get. My hands aren’t huge but they’re not tiny either. I will use it mostly at work for boxes. I have to wear dress pants. From the reviews, it sounds like they would both work well because even the full size feels small enough in the pocket. I think I’m going to go with the full size but we’ll see!

It it’s under 5 or 6 oz, weight is a non issue for me.. I actually prefer some heft.. the mini looks awesome tho, especially with some titanium scales. I generally prefer smaller knives.. my edc is a small crk 31 and thats generally about as big as I go. The last knife I tried before the crk was a ZT 0450.. barely any bigger but it still just felt kinda large. After dozens of knives tho, the crk is pretty ideal.. and I’ve definitely never wished that it was lighter.

Metal scales feel so much more premium and satisfying than plastics/g10. I remember years ago going from a CKRT M16 aluminum handle to a g10 Gerber and it was such cheap feeling and a let down.

the mini has a cericote finish on the blade the only dlc coating on it is on the titanium access lock bar and studs, although the cf elite does have a dlc coated blade. also grivory is what Benchmade calls there FRN polymer but its the same thing and its what the mini has as a handle material as apposed to the cf elite which has the carbon fiber variant. but the mini and the original bugout 535 share the same cheap ass handle. btw great video my friend very well put together

I like mine, but it's crazy hard to open one handed! I also love LM and have carried them for decades... I'm trying to open and close my T2 a few hundred times a day...hopefully it gets easier. I did also buy the pocket clip and had it custom engraved from LM...so I'm committed...but not happy yet. I do find the package opener to be very useful and I use it a lot...I wonder if its because it's actually easier to open than the actual blade, lol?!

Heard to loosen the top screw . Think I will wait that out . And use it for a bit , before doing anything like that ... thanks

I own both of these and both are really GREAT knives IMO! I have used mine as EDC's for a long while now without any issues. They do not break or overly wear under extreme use. I have put mine to extremes at times. lol They never failed. The white really does not get dirty looking with use. Just wipe it down from time to time and it has never looked dirty over major use. I love my Spyderco, Microtech, etc... knives also but the added items, like the satin storage bag, etc... from Benchmade are a really nice feature IMO. Wish Spyderco, Microtech, etc... would start using more than a knife in a plastic bag, in a box. lol Most of these USA knives are not cheaply priced.

I didn’t see this mentioned in your video so I thought I’d bring it up being your videos are a little light on politics. Benchmade cut up guns and allowed the fuzz to use them in their anti-2A propaganda. Having said that I would have gave them a pass if they made some Damascus blades from the destroyed gun steel. They missed an excellent opportunity there in my opinion. They could’ve spun the propaganda in their favor and gave the knives made from the destroyed firearms something that was an FU to the totalitarian government. Anyway it’s starting to rain so I gotta get back under the bridge from which I’ve wandered my fat troll ass to get a signal. Gooday my friend;)

I totally agree with your comment on the design of the blade as far as that sharp part that is exposed when the knife is closed...it honestly is what has kept me from purchasing one. The seamless design of other knifes like the 940 or pm2 or 3 is a standard for me now.
