    Why is it that we have 0.1 mole of the product initially ? Is it not that the product has not been formed as yet initially?

    How is it that we have a weak acid solution ( at the second equivalence point ) while a strong acid HCl was being added ?

    • @jacobstewartchem
      @jacobstewartchem 15 днів тому

      A strong acid is added, but it reacts with the weak base that is present. The products of that reaction are water and the conjugate weak acid of the original weak base. At the equivalence point, all of the weak base has reacted and become the weak acid, so that is why we have a weak acid solution at the equivalence point.

    Why did u choose 1.5 atm for the conversion factor? Is that a universal law?

    • @jacobstewartchem
      @jacobstewartchem 15 днів тому

      The 1.5 atm is given in the problem as the total pressure for the mixture. That value only applies to this specific question.

    I think paul ellison said my spatial reasoning score was 142. This is a measure of your ability to visualize molecules in 3 dimensions. His daughter was a ph.d student in organic chemistry. At k state i studied how different people perceived the physical spaces in the biochemistry building. The room we read in shapes our beliefs more than the books we read.

    I hate realizing I forgot a term and then erasing and trying to squeeze the term in, like you did with the sum.

    The reason I like Kamala Harris' policy of STEM skills over STEM degrees is because anybody can watch a UA-cam video and learn without paying somebody or going to a classroom. I've felt unmotivated to focus on STEM because I felt like the university system was oppressing me and not letting me think my STEM thoughts peacefully.

    It's easy to lose sight of the big picture when you're calculating partition functions all day. I think that's why I got a 35 on my homework. Maybe they gave me an A as a GTA because they want me to think there's a future in teaching these classes.

      Hello, I don't cover that in this video, but this webpage is useful: chem.libretexts.org/Bookshelves/Analytical_Chemistry/Analytical_Chemistry_2.1_(Harvey)/04%3A_Evaluating_Analytical_Data/4.03%3A_Propagation_of_Uncertainty. In Table 4.3.1 you can look on the right side of the table to see the equations when exponents are involved.

    It's good to know that, as a state function, the change in entropy is the same regardless of what the actual process the gas goes through--it can be this isothermal process, or it can be an isobaric process followed by an isovolumetric process with the same starting and ending states as those of the isothermal process.

    A little correction here: The anode, being positive, does not produce free electrons. And it is not electrons which bombard the cathode (since the cathode is negative, it repels electrons). There's a decent description in the wikipedia article. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hollow-cathode_lamp
