On rare occasions I have to hire something out but with today's UA-cam community at our disposal 24/7/365 it just $Pays$ (literally) to Do it Yourself. (NO PREVIOUS EDUCATION REQUIRED JOB) FIRST STEP to becoming a Generac Certified Technician
I lied, you probably need a high school education but call Generac and ask for yourself and it would not surprise me if you did not need one. You need to have a general working knowledge of a multimeter and must be able to do basic multiplication and division. After these free prerequisite courses you also need to spend two days at a Generac University in class education session which costs $750. One of the other requirements to strike it out on your own is paying for a 1750 comprehensive parts kit to start you off however you should easily be able to find a Generac certified dealer/installer to sponsor you into the class which prevents you from having to purchase the big parts kit. The bonus is that they can always feed you work when they have customers who need service... or you can advertise and hunt down your own customers.

This is stupid design. If you manage to not tighten that enough it can fly off.
@mrpush2532 That is not correct. If you don't tighten it enough it will leak and not fill at all sonit won't fly off. This design fills the tank through the tiny pinhole in the side of the valve and never pushes the larger valve on the tip. Any leaking force goes out sideways instead of feom the tip that could propel it as you suggest
@AndTodaysProjectIs what if the pin misses the slot and you tighten it just on the smooth surface? It may hold the bottle and not leak, build pressure and let go? I think that looks possible from the design. Can you test that? Seat the pin just to the side of slot. See if still starts to fill without leaking at rings. What if little pin fails like in your first one? Shears off?
Thankyou! Nice close up's and great commentary.. a massive help.. thanks from south africa
@mileswelton6492 Glad you were able to get some help from the video!
Plastic and freezing temperatures do not go well together. The plastic will become brittle. This is really poor engineering unless its specifically designed to fail to force more purchases and services (a growing trend with today's technology). I agree with your conclusions about the motor forcing the stuck tray into breakage.
@defconone1498 Getting it replaced this week under the Allstate protection plan 5 year warranty. PITA to file for the coverage on the repair with multiple photos and videos needing to be uploaded to show them the problem. You basically have to prove it was a mechanical failure for them to work on it. an elderly non-tech savy or a person without some mechanical common sense may have a difficult time getting it covered so hopefully they can just send this video link and make the manufacturer or warranty eat it. And unfortunately the warranty company makes it very clear that you cannot open the parts package before they get there to do the job so that makes it very difficult to 3D print the tray first. I'm thinking about removing it after they leave to do just that because this thing will fail again
Outstanding assistance! Thanks!

Do you know if La's will dull paint or take it off? Thanks! Joey
@joeygriffith8977 so far it has not done anything negative to any painted surface that i have put it on. I used it quite a bit even on Sherwin Williams interior paint on drywall walls in our rental. The paint was in good shape before and after. A dog had constantly laid up against the wall in one spot so there was a dark dirt/skin oils stain. wiped right off and did not cause any sheen change or color difference at alalaoI also used it on a cloth rv blind ( the corrugated style window blinds) to get rid of some water leak rust stain and made a video on that on my page if you want to look for that. It was absolutely amazing and cleaned it off with a zero negative color change effects on the cloth blinds. The only thing so far that I have had a negative effect on, and I have tried this on a lot of different things, is when I sprayed it inside of a silverware drawer in the kitchen the bottom surface board was just a cheap flimsy semi shiny material. It was basically MDF board that had a thin layer of some type of printed sticker material that had sort of a wood grain pattern to it. Very common in a lot of kitchen drawers. It immediately remove the wood pattern sticker pattern and did start to Bubble the surface of that. That being said, I would assume that is some type of a PVC layer or thin rubber, thin plastic or something that it just did not agree with. Gel coat, fiberglass, aluminum powder coated white, aluminum painted white, outside wall paint add interior wall paint. I have also used it on sheep nylon Builder grade carpet where I had a large brownish red stain on the carpeting probably from red wine??? The stain literally disappeared almost before my eyes as I rubbed it with a cloth

@ericarg96 NOTE: just like it says in the video when I am opening the bag with the wheels in it these are not the correct wheels for this pressure washer. You need to do a little bit of a workaround in order to make them fit. If you're looking for something that will just plug and play then this video is not the one for you and it is not the correct set of wheels .
I guess standard size piston rings were used
@a.h8362 yes. this was just de-glazing and cleaning them up. it doesn't take off enough material to need to go up in size on anything but you still need to check all of your bore measurements for tolerances and verify the cylinders are not egg shaped from wear of course
It definitely worked… thank you ❤
Lasko has gone totally downhill with every fan, not just this one. These are not even meant to last up to 10 years. My aunt has gone through 12 lasko box fans within a 10 year period, each failed after a couple of years or even months. It’s a throw-away society we love in nowadays. I have a vintage galaxy 12 inch blue desk fan, from the late 70s, still working good after 40+ years of use, and that’s back in the day when fans were actually built to last compared to any new fan you buy, whether it’s lasko or whatnot. I even love my 1973 Kmart/Lakewood deluxe fan, built like a tank. They sure don’t make fans like they used to.
Great video thanks, keep them coming
Going to try this tonight :-)
@mystandbypower it worked well for smooth surfaces and hard packed dry level dirt rolling but was a PITA around tight Corners in the yard and unlevel paver surfaces as a one-man move when I actually put this in its mounting location. Definitely a two-man or three-man job minimum but I struggled through it and really hurt myself for about a week after. This is better as just a dolly for moving it around inside of a garage and or on a patio temporarily while you wait for the installation.

Thanks for this vid. I just moved into a house in HI that has this issue with its windows. Would you mind sharing how you got replacement panes, please?
@krystlecha I lived in Hoakalei and many of the windows in that Community were blown out like that. I was able to contact the window manufacturer, which I believe is called milgard, in the mainland on the west coast. I spoke with them and asked if it would be possible for me to order replacement glass from them for a self-install to replace these because it was out of warranty. I'm not sure if they were just compassionate to me or if they would do this for other people out of warranty but they actually replaced all of the glass panes and sent them to Hawaii in a wooden crate that had to cost a lot of money cuz it was very large. They did not charge me a penny for them. Then I went somewhere up in makakilo to a local store to purchase the double-sided roll of sticky tape use to secure them.

They are those gross colored ones that lay maggots. Lazy as heck and stay at the windows. Every late spring we get what feels like hundreds over the space of a week
I just used a car jack to lift one end at a time. I installed 8” cheap harbour freight rubber wheels on all 4 corners of the pallet. Put a rope through one end of the pallet to act as a pull loop and proceded to pull it across a 20 foot gravel side lot and another 60 foot across my back yard over rough terrain and up onto my concrete pad that I had previously poured. Built a quick 2x4 a frame over it. Used a come along to lift it off the pallet, moved my roller pallet out and set it in place easily. It worked absolutely fantastic.
What happened to Lasko!?!? Seriously, I had a tower fan from them with a remote for over a decade and it was one of my FAVORITE fans! Then it stopped working…. Would run for a minute and stop working altogether…. Opened it up, vacuumed the dust off and still did the same thing! I’m prepared to take it apart to work on it further yet I purchased another Lasko fan and I am BEYOND disappointed….
Hello. How much liters per hour the fuel pump work ? 3 bar is ok for a vx 110 ? Thanks
@rafaelnakamura9935 you will have to do the conversion math but on average the vx110 mr1 motor will get 110 Mi if you are at 30 miles per hour the entire time on Flat Water.
I feel like you can take that particular switch apart and re-stretch that spring, maybe add a little di-electric grease.
@@MattB787 I believe you are correct in that
My theory is that usually garbage or what not is left outside in high temps or for too long thereby causing millions of maggots close by and for some reason when they become flies they invade the nearest house via windows and doors

@dw5772 when the supply tank starts to get low on gas, below a certain PSI the fillups started to be less and less. I was having a hard time getting more than 900grams in each. I just turned the tank back in to get it refilled yesterday at Airgas Texas so I'm hoping and I'm pretty certain that was the issue with short fills. @donr5593 have you ever pulled the 360 Degrees swivel connector apart I did and then you can pull the clear plastic housing straight off which will then reveal the two brass 1-in long pins. Those are the pins that make the electrical connection as it is swiveling 360 degrees. Those pins are actually replaceable and I found a suitable replacement for them on amazon. $4 for 100 of them. They are called spring loaded test probes. Each of those test probes has a crimped end that they crimp after they insert a spring. Sometimes the spring somehow gets past the crimp again so you lose the springing nature of the tip of those probes and it stops making electrical contact. Other times you get corrosion on those spring-loaded probes. Either case they are very easy to replace relatively speaking and cost 4 cents each versus $160 or more for the entire cord
@AndTodaysProjectIs No I haven't tks for the info. The cords that I replaced were the older cords without the swiffel.
Looks good. Nice idea
Short, concise, and helpful. Thanks!
Will it still turn over if the start stop is bad? Because the troubleshooting tells opposite if it’s turning over it’s not the electric issue. I don’t know I’m turning over . New plugs and gas and still no start
It can, yes. Mine would turn over, but not start. When I unplugged the black connector that powers the deadman switch, it started right up. Use caution though, both the deadman (lanyard/tether) switch as well as the red pushbutton kill switch DO NOT work with that unplugged. It'll start, but you cannot turn the motor off unless you plug that connector back in and hit the kill switch or pull the deadman.
