That Bob Dylan and the Band box set sounds dope
Great editing, felt like I was along for the ride
I have that same Meet the Beatles record it's a Mono I have 4 copies my self, the credits are not on the back of the record but they are on the label on the record itself
Legendary album 🙏🏽🧡
definitely jealous of that Bringing it All Back Home original with the hype sticker!
@@chillepalmerz I was so stoked to find it!
you guys are so cool! this is so fun!! i love bob dylan and johnny cash! ooh! i did a big record buy with christmas money a few days ago and i got Hard Rains too! I threw it all away is one of my favourite Bob songs and it live on Hard Rain is so different in a great way compared to Nashville Skyline- i love it! & 'Bringing It All Back Home' is one of my favourties too how cool! I'm doing Bob Dylan album everyday starting today january 1st this is so fun! Bob Dylan 115th dream is amazing too!
@@corneliuscoven thank you so much for watching! Glad you got some great records after Christmas. You’re gonna listen to a Dylan album every day? That’s so cool! Keep me posted
Hi 👋 guys. I like your jaunt to the record store. I was playing Bob Dylans album Time out of Mind , if you haven't heard it before then i recommend it. I was playing it last night. I old enough to remember the 1960s. You pulled out a Joe Tex record. I remember dancing at the Disco to his hit song Ain't gonna Bump no more with no big fat Woman back in 1977. 😅 Have you seen the movie A complete Unkown , about Bob Dylan yet ? I'm wanting to see it ,but it doesn't start until 23rd of January here in New Zealand.
@@Carl-x8y3c thank you for watching! time out of mind is so good. I love that record, and I see that there’s a bootleg series of it too, I have to get it soon. Joe Tex is great! I definitely had my eye on the record. I’m going back next week, might buy it. I did see a complete unknown, it’s great!! Definitely recommend seeing it.
Isis is such a great song, almost never played and I don't know of any covers. Desire is also so multicultural in the musical sounds throughout it. Love the record.
Avoid people with birds.
I know I’d avoid me if I had to
the movies out here in the uk on Jan 15. can't wait, like you I have high expectations and trust your view. so even more excited now. i've been listening to his xmas album today too it's just brilliant and totally unexpected isn't it? . merry xmas guys. ps. check out also Pete Seeger's album live at Carrnegie hall. it was unexpectedly brilliant with audience participation like i've never heard. (and the vinyl pressing is incredible).
Thanks so much! Merry Xmas! It was a great film, a great experience for sure. You’ll definitely dig it. Going to check out Seeger’s Carnegie record!
Fantástico
Great band, great album 👏 👌
Jimmy Buffet and Emylou Harris recorded Mozambique together.......
That they did!
Did you hear Buffets song with McCartney?
My favorite Dylan record. Oh Sister is wonderful.
@@grantcameron194 such a great song. Love the backing vocals! Also those slow drum fills
A falsely accused boxer and a mob guy who could not escape his past.
100%
Wow this is a permanent record to keep in the collection. Awesome
best review i have ever seen of anything ever, i am going 2 have 2 give this album A re listen❣
Really? Thank you so so much for watching!!! That means the world to me. It’s certainly an amazing record. I’m so happy to see people dig the record.
@@Vinylinthewild i have that almost identical T-shirt too❣
Sara was a last minute replacement for the song "Abandoned Love." Dylan was going to leave his wife Sara and that's (at least partially) what this song is about. He changed his mind last minute and wrote "Sara" for her and put it on the album. It didn't work. She divorced him shortly after lol. ua-cam.com/video/svXNd-q1Afc/v-deo.html
@@jhutch888 interesting stuff. Definitely wasn’t aware of this! Thanks for this!!
Please listen to the song! It's brilliant!
I could listen to Isis all day. I don’t know what it is about it, it’s just the most adventurous sounding song ever
I’d play isis on a loop for sure! I agree with that.
His greatest album by far
It’s up there, for sure! My top 3
IMHO his best of the 1970s - marked by the haunting presence of a free-roaming violin and the charming voice of Emmylou Harris. Good, clear, simple production - as opposed to the cringy sounds of the following albums.
Certainly a standout record, from what I’ve listened to. I can’t wait to explore the rest. Thanks for watching!
your completely in the same head space as me on this album. it's in my top three too, as a lifelong dylan fan who got inspired to write my own from him. i think the title desire pulls it together thematically. it explores the many aspects of desire for me. freedom, love, money, power, justice, redemption. if your up to this album then i imagine you've not yet got to my favorite dylan album, which is new morning, it's another departure musically and a real grower. dylans piano drives it, and sets the tone, much like scarlets violin did on desire. i managed to get scarlets first solo album on vinyl, only one for sale online in the uk at the time. shes really a tour de force. great review man, thoughtful.
@@Petrie7 you’re right - I’ve not yet gotten to this album. I’m hopping around a bit, there’s so much to listen to! I’ve also been listening to the basement tapes and bootleg series as well. I also went as far ahead into Rough and Rowdy Ways. I did however read Bob Dylan’s book “Chronicles” where he talks about New Morning. I’ve always loved George Harrison’s version of “If Not For You”, so that’s a promising start to the record. Thanks for your words, and thank you for watching! It means a lot.
@Vinylinthewild basement tapes is a blast. I've got Chronicles too. Written in Bobs inimitable way. glad I've come across you early on. I like sincere and thoughtful reviews like this. if you want a deeper dive into Dylan I highly recommend the channel - Tastes Like Music. The best I've seen by a mile on Dylan. The podcaster is not a fan and challenges a true fan to convert him, and they go chronologically record by record. Think you will love it. Good luck with this channel. 🙏 P
You made my day! Thanks for the recommendation. I’ll have to check that out. Always fun trying to convert a “non” fan :) I’ll be posting a lot throughout my time on here, it’s definitely the beginning. I’ve been inspired to start a channel for years. This time it feels right.
Check out some solo albums by Richard Thompson such as ( Mock Tudor or amnesia) He blows Dylan away an if you can go see him live it worth it!!
@@davidmorgen4558 thanks for the recommendations! Fairport Convention is awesome / I’ve not listened to his solo stuff though. I’m going to give it a listen
@@Vinylinthewild wont go wrong!
like the gypsy violins on this . Nice companion piece to Street Legal . minor chord rockers and other mystical stuff
Most definitely. I love the violin on the album. Street legal / blood on the tracks reviews coming soon
You gotta check out ‘The Hurricane’ movie now
@@Pluralofvinylisvinyls I haven’t seen it! 100% will
I spend a whole Saturday at record store just browsing
Great Dylan pick ups you won't be disappointed - post your thoughts - Great watch - Saluti from London
Thanks for watching!!! Awesome. I’ll definitely post my thoughts. So glad you dug the video :)
IOoh I’d have grabbed that Clash for $20. I finally found a copy of that Dylan’s greatest hits with a poster! I get why it’s hard to find, it’s a great poster
@@Pluralofvinylisvinyls that’s awesome. Funnily enough I found an OG copy of London Calling for $20 the day after!!
Desire is a super dope album, especially the song Sara is amazing. I gave my copy to my sister...I should get myself another copy I guess :)
Such a great record!!
Simon and Garfunkel, linda música deles

@@theoothrasher 100% worth it! If you have one near you, definitely try. Thank you so much for watching.
man i would love to work at a record store, i expected this to be a sarcastic "back in my day" type video but your energy is so positive and nice. appreciate you <3 when i'm looking for a job i'm gonna apply at my local shop for sure
Thanks so much for watching! It means a lot. Of course. No use being jaded when you love your job! Good luck with your application whenever that time comes.
❤I LOVE BOBY DYLAN ❤
Good ol boby
Whenever I see Meet The Beatles I check to see if it’s a Residents record. Always disappointed
@@Pluralofvinylisvinyls ha I feel that. Love both records
Good find!!I've had the mono and stereo non pubs ,and were mint.I have the stereo again(the others were sold off long ago)Just stumbled onto a Meet Press Info yellow sticker cover/disc LA pressing in a mall conglomerate store here in eastern Pa.Huhhh?!!??Still wondered how it landed there. Fab 4 Collectables Tom Vanghele has only known of 5 surfacing.I know of two others, then mine. His had the whole kit package, for sale on his site, mine doesn't have the kit but has a mint disc.Only second one I've seen in 45+ years of RE collecting the Fabs.(I'm into '50's and '60's 45s and albums,as well).
Thanks for watching! That’s awesome. You never know what you’ll find in places like that. Keep on collecting! Never stop
I WAS BORN TO LOVE THE BEATLES. LET'S ROCK ON ✌️
Thanks for the tour in stores. Beatles is something that I'd like to get also something on vinyl. I guess I am trying to keep it just on one album. mr. Finglish (Bäd English Recs)
Awesome ! Thank you for watching ! Definitely buy Beatles - it’s a good hobby to get into :) all the best from New Jersey !!

@@JayEdom it’s all good! It’s a great album, they sell it online still I believe. I just read Steve Turner’s book “Mud Ride” definitely check it out!
Blood On the Tracks and Desire are excellent albums. Nice Beatle pickups.

I had a Facebook friend from New Orleans who sent me a copy of Life Magazine after John Lennon's passing. 1980 print. Epical stuff. I have a bunch of old legendary magazines. Mostly Guitar World.
@@BayouDiddy oh wow. That’s awesome!
Do an instrument reveal. I see at least two. Three, including that harmonica in your back pocket.
@@BayouDiddy I’ll do that as a video soon, thanks for the recommendation!
First pressing sounded crisper. Assume that was the UK release. American pressings of any group were inferior to their European counterparts.
