And, as Paul Harvey would say, the rest of the story ? I have a 56
Nice job, by the way.
Okmulgee native here. Where you from ??
How's the Cadillac rebuild coming along? I just bought myself a 51 Cadillac Sedan. I plan on rebuilding the chassis and drive train. Thinking I might leave the Patina like it is. But restore the interior to like new.
Why no comments allowed on the gold wing reverse trike? I have a few questions if you dont mind
Happy to stumble across this video. I'm interested to see how your rebuild goes... I'm in the process of restoring a 51 hardtop coupe but I have a lot of interior and exterior trim parts for a 52 sedan if you're needing anything.
@The79woody how's your 51 hardtop coupe coming along?
@@wadericker4795 ugh, not near as quickly as I had hoped. Covid really set me back on it. I’ve got some more chrome work and stainless trim to finish up, exhaust system, and interior to finish still. Thanks for asking!
I have a 1974 VW Thing and the oil needs changing. What type oil is needed for these cars? I do not have the owners manual and cant find info on the net?
spot on
Very nice job. I just want you to know that I appreciate your no nonsense approach in making the video. Thank you. I am in the planning stages on a VW rat or Volksrod. You said in your video that if we have any questions, how do I get them to you? Thanks again and God Bless.
I'm sorry but I havn't been having much luck getting my replies to work Youi can reach me at leeriker@sbcglobal.net. I sold my 71 to the pastor of my church for a good deal because he liked it so much and then he turned around and sold it to a guy in Witchita the next week for $1600 more than what he paid me. You've got to watch these preachers I guess. I've now got a 1974 vw thing almost completely done back to stock. I've got a feeling I'm not going to have this car long, there is too much interest in it. If you have any questions on your vw just yell.
Thank you. I am retired and have a small shop in my back yard. I have been a shade tree mechanic for 60 years. I currently work on classic cars for a couple of my customer friends. I have owned several VW's and I just can't get away from them. I do all my own work as you do and want to build something for my self instead of always working on everybody else's projects. By the way, I am also a 72 year old pastor. I stepped down from full time ministry a few years ago because of some health issues but still teach in a ministry house for folks getting out of prison and off the street. I will be asking some question in the future about a few thing and will keep you posted on my project. Thanks again and God Bless.
Did you center the steering for show or better function ?
I love it!
very cool. like to see it all done
Nice.. Where did you get the rear wheels? And what size are they?
the rear tires are regular 4 bolt 15" vw wheels. The front tires are r165-15 and the rears are 225-15 I believe. I got just as tall a tire as I could for the back but not look stupid. I made the white walls myself with white tire paint I got from the U.K.
