The magazine is more about XWs than XYs it seems.
not sure about that, the old articles they found do show a few models of both what was available at the time and the new XY releases. Maybe they had limited access or limited articles to put in this one.
Circuito de Hereth Is the pronounciation
Thank you, I will probably still mess it up but thanks.
Hi, one question, can you tell me where can i get these magazines, i mean are they available in uk? Thank you!
Yes you can get these in the UK and here is the website: www.f1carcollection.com/magazine.php they are up to about issue 200 now and still going.
I got mine a couple of weeks ago and was pretty happy with another great IXO 1/43.The other night I compared it to the Biante version I also have from 20 years ago (+ for some reason I bought red and metallic green versions as well) and the IXO stands up pretty well in comparison, the orange Biante has dark interior and the IXO has slightly taller wheels. Anyhow, another great video with magazine and car shown off well.
Thanks, I must admit these are pretty good especially at their price. Thanks for the comment and info too.
I love this Aussie models collection series .As back in 1973 I was 18 and worked at Dynamic Auto Accessories at Westfield Liverpool,And a lot of our customers drove Monaros. and GT Falcons and Chargers. These models bring back great memories.
yeah they do, I was a lot younger in '73 and do not remember any from then but grew up seeing them on the road. I do love this set too.
This is the ultimate Monaro for me.
I had mates with early '70s Monaro's but for me I kinda liked the 2004 era models. Maybe because back them I was at the age I could seen myself buying one.
That turned out to be a very nice model with good detail, like the around the flares.
Yeah I am very happy to have got this one as the "gift" car.
At 1.31 did you call it an "A9 SIX"?
it does sound like that. Whatever I said it was meant to me a9 X but yeah don't know what was on my mind as it does sound like 6
It's AC spark plugs GM own brand plugs.
ah thank you. I wear glasses now but still could not read that small detail. I might invest in a magnifying glass to look at these closer.
Watching this Christmas morning, felt like opening a pressie😊🎉. Another interesting video Brett.
Glad you enjoyed it, merry christmas
I have the 1/32 Scalextric slot of this model.
My wife has the number 1 L34 1/32 scale Scalextric slot car too like this one. I bought the blue XB Falcon number 13 to go with it. We love our slot car racing and I havent even started to show them off other than the one 1/32 scale truck vehicle hauler video I made where I added a proslot car to it.
I missed out on this one, the shop was sold out. :(
Could they order more in for you? It is a very well done model IMO
@@OneMansCollection The newsagent where I buy them doesn't seem very enthusiastic about the whole range so he didn't seem keen to do that. I was interested in building a mopar collection so I'm not buying them every week.
Me new favourite. So well done
Yeah I was really impressed with this model too.
I have a small collection of back to the future time machines and a vehicle. I have the Jada BTTF 3 time machine as well as the delorian in hover mode by hotwheels (which i believe was a chase piece) and a hoverboard from hotwheels skate series. i also have doc and Marty as Playmobil figures so it makes an interesting little display. Great review 5/5
Awesome. I have 3 pop vinyls of the BTTF also along with the 3 in 1:24 scale and the same hover vehicle from Hot Wheels still on card. I am a big fan of BTTF so always pick up stuff like this.
Wow Brett this is cool
thanks, yeah they are well made and I got a lot of them
The mainline new green Mercedes actually has windows 😂very nice looking
I will have to keep an eye out for that one too. Thanks for the heads up 👍
Saw another 3 pack with 3 different cars, but I bought this set to see what they like
I did do a video on a similar set too but do you remember what was in the other set you saw?
@ I just bought the 2nd set, had BMW M3,BMW m4,Audi RS5,another set had a Mercedes instead of the BMW m3,BM look better
Guaranteed For Life= U.S. package. ONLY on U.S. package can you tell what case the car is from by the last letter of the j-hook code. No GFL on package is a international card with no way of knowing(without knowing) what case the car is from. A suggestion...If you are keeping sealed for future selling, pick PRISTENE cards, no bent J hooks, no creases in card and no soft corners. Collect what you like as most cars will lose $ in the future and unless you have deep pockets & LOTS of space be CHOOSEY in what you by as your collection will grow very quickly buying 2 of everything. Just my 2 cents. The colour of the Merc is Sea foam green & organic green and it was the 1st version HW released. Hope the info helps. Merry Christmas!
Thank you very much for this information. I am aware most will lose value in the future but I really am not sure which ones do. I have got a few from a series back in 2014 that are now selling online for much more than what I paid for them but I doubt many/any of these will do. But you just never know. I am thinking 2024 might be a bump in my HW collecting and will slow back down as yeah it is getting crowded. I just wanted a few to make a diorama with my 11 yo nephew when he was over.
this one look cool buddy 😀
Yeah it is. Cheers
That a old case for me I'm in Australia some of em are 2024
yeah some are old as I put in the title but some I have not seen before. Maybe just new to me and my area.
Really enjoying your model car vids Brett. 😊
Glad you like them. Thanks
Hot Wheels 1:43 Mercedes AMG GT3 [this one is my favourite one in your channel ]🧡❤❤
Yeah the Merc was well made model.
dude i love your collections especially the 1/43 scale's iam trying to buy a sport model 1/43 🤩
thanks, I got a lot of them and will be making new display shelving for them soo too.
Beautiful design
yeah they are a nice vehicle
W,A plate,😂😂😎👍🏽
thank you, hard to see when holding it even with my glasses on
Africa,with the Toyotas,,as well,mate
Oh yeah they have a lot of them in Africa too, forgot about that.
Thanks Brett. Really enjoying your model car content
Thanks Tuttib1902 happy to share my collection
I couldn't resist buying two 1/18 scale Burago Ferraris at Aldi today As they were only $50.00 each . One 296GTB and one LaFerrari and they are excellent models.
Oh what Aldi is selling Bburago models? Shame I do not have Aldi in Tasmania where I live. I do have the LaFerrari already and it is a beauty and a Maisto 296GTB in silver with the yellow stripes. I really should do a full 1/18 scale Ferrari video as I got 15 of them. Kind of like the video I did for the Porsche 1/18 collection.
Cool video Brett, got a lot of these myself, lucky enough, but you got more than i did, only 1 Nissan GT-R LBWK 😢 enjoyed 🍻 🇦🇺 🤝 🇦🇺🦘🪃🏔 🍻
Yeah was right place right time with those. Maybe I should have left one but I really wanted a keeper, opener and one to do repaint on so happy with that haul.
@OneMansCollection absolutely agree 💯 % and I'm the same, I to keep and original and modify the rest. Enjoy your weekend 🍻 🇦🇺🦘🪃🏔🤝🇦🇺🦘🪃
😊😊Very nice looking Cars 😊😊Keep up these awesome videos 😊😊
Thanks! Will do!
😊😊very cool looking Ferraris and they are nice looking Ferraris Cars and thank you for showing us this nice looking Motor vehicle,s 😊😊
yeah this series they are very detailed models.
Moin from Cuxhaven 👋🏻 (Literally "Moin" means good morning. But we north german coastal dwellers use it at every time of the day, Very similar to the Australian G'day) WOW what a model 🤩 What racing fan doesn't immediately think of the "King of the Mountain" (the legendary BROCKY) when they think of the LX "A9X"? The Torana was also available here in Germany. Here it was the Opel Kadett (However, GM Opel never installed a 5.0l V8 in the Kadett 😢) What can I say except WOW, I'm thrilled 🤩 Clearly both thumbs up for this 👍🏼👍🏼 Many a thanks for sharing 🙏🏼and keep it up, mate 😉 Have a bonza week to you and your family and stay safe and sound. 🎼🎶🎵1-5-3-6-2-4 around the garage floor...🎶🎵 Why do I have this song in my head?🤔 What could go better with a 48-215 than the "Old Holden Waltz"... 😉 An extraordinary model, a piece of Australian automotive history and... A gem in the collector's showcase 🤩👍🏼 I've been a die-cast collector (mainly 1/64 scale) for years and (probably) one of the biggest Holden fans outside of Australia. (I live in Northern Germany and some call me the “northernmost Aussie in the world” 😁) Would say I'm excited about this FX; definitely both thumbs up for it 👍🏼👍🏼 Thank you so much for sharing 🙏🏼 keep it up, mate 😉 and stay save and sound. Greetings from the lighthouse end of the Elbe river (Cuxhaven, Germany) 👍🏼🇦🇺😎🍻🤠🇩🇪👍🏼
@@paul-sparky-sparr4160 welcome and thanks for sharing your story too.
Have they released a list of the models they will be releasing in the future?
No I don't think so. I did get an email from them though with a huge list of cars that they wanted the subscribers to pick their top 5 desired cars that might make a list in the future. I wish I took a screenshot now of that list.
@@OneMansCollection It's frustrating as their website only lists the first 12, ending with the A9X.
The first 30 are listed on their FAQ page. I see a few non Aussie cars there too. Let me see if I can paste it here: Holden Monaro HK GTS 327 (1968) Chrysler VH Valiant Charger R/T E49 (1972) Ford XC Falcon Cobra (1978) Holden EH Special Sedan (1964) Ford XY Falcon GT (1970) Chrysler Valiant S-Series (1963) Ford Falcon XA GT-HO Phase IV (1972) Holden Sandman (1975) Holden HQ Monaro GTS 350 (1973) Ford XK Falcon (1960) Toyota Land Cruiser HJ75 (1985) Holden LX Torana A9X (1977) Chrysler Valiant VC (1967) Holden HG Monaro GTS 350 (1970) Ford Falcon XR GT (1967) Holden VK Group A Commodore (1985) Holden 48-215 (FX) Sedan (1949) Morris Mini Cooper MK1 - Aussie Specs (1966) Chrysler Valiant VG Pacer (1970) Bolwell Nagari (1973) Datsun 1600 (1968) Holden LJ Torana GTR XU-1 (1982) Volkswagen Beetle (1966) Holden HSV VL Group A SS Walkinshaw (1988) Holden HR Premier 186 (1966) Ford XA Falcon Superbird Hardtop (1972) Land Rover Series 2A Utility (1972) Ford Falcon XB (1974) Holden FE Special Sedan (1956) Ford Fairlane ZB (1974)
@@OneMansCollection Thanks, buddy. Appreciate that. Nagari? Excellent!
@@sentimentalbloke185 yeah I had to look that one up too and when I saw it I was like "oh yeah, I remember them"
Nice Video here Brett
Thank you
My Father loved the F-Type, my 24 yr old brother really, loved it. So quick and comfy they said. (I couldn't fit in it ;) )
Not a common sight my end of the globe but it does look nice.
great review. i was having trouble deciding between the 60th anniversary version of the mclaren gt and the regular one without the decals in gold. if they had been similar price I would have definitely gone with the extra graphics, but i managed to find the base version for 10 bucks cheaper so I went with that one. although i do believe these 60th anniversary versions will definitely become rare over time.
Yeah I don't see them anymore, I think they got snapped up.
Thanks Brett. Interesting video and a good watch on a rainy UK afternoon 😊
Glad you enjoyed it
Another great presentation of the magazine and the car, really well done as usual 👌 I have to say that IXO have really done a great job with this Australian Cars The Collection magazine series, considering the low price these retail for.
Yeah I agree, happy with them so far
certainly beats the LandCruiser model ha ha
well the model of the Landcruiser was well done but this is a true Aussie car
I much prefer the Monaro or Kingswood. Torana never did it for me.
I never owned a Torana but still appreciated them.
@@OneMansCollection Drove my GF's. Thought they were over-rated. Can't recall the model, but offset pedals, notchy gears, overheated easily and it got stolen remarkably easily.
@@Gough-jf9zf oh no
@@OneMansCollection I'm not terribly up on cars of that era. My dad and brother had the skills to rebuild an engine. I had the skill to replace a headlight. Had I been a better driver, I might have appreciated the Torana more.
My favourite so far . What a stunner
It does look nice, I really wants an SLR5000 to go with it now.
Well... I've got 'em both The A9X and the SLR 5000 (in 1/64 scale! Thanks to a collector mate in Sydney 🙏🏼) Guess, I'm a lucky bloke 😊
Fairlane, Statesman, Brougham would have been a far better choice.
Yeah
Not Australian and definitely not made in Oz. And no car mad bogan in the '80s ever got breathless about these things.
Nope, it was a workhorse vehicle for companies and government rural agencies
Well made and good looking model Land Cruiser. 😊
yes it is
Beautiful 😍
Yeah it is pretty nice
I saw the amg at my local target but 25.00 with no opening parts to see more detail is a but much in my humble opinion
they are at a top price. I think the magazine collection vehicles I have been able to get look better but I also think these are made more to play and so made stronger but then less details.
@OneMansCollection Yeah that makes sense, I almost bought the six pack of the most recent HW 1/43 scale, but I’m sticking with HW RLC and Kaido House, because if I start buying more I’m gonna need to remortgage my house
@@Yourmission9 Yeah it is like that. I have even gone down to 1/64 because they are so much cheaper and can fit more in the same space.
I didn't realise these were still available. I collected them a few years ago but stopped when I got to the bt44 which is probably my all time favourite F1 car. I also built the tamiya 1/12 version.
yeah they are still going, I got this one years ago but only now started making videos on them. It is almost up to 200 in the collection now.
Some great finds there, the Mustang I don’t have but that is a nice casting. The orange would be unusual for a modern Porsche in 1/1 but as a Matchbox it looks great. That Mustang I don’t think I have that Mustang in the metallic but it does look 👍🏼
Yeah I am happy with finding the odd nice one at a supermarket. Get them when you can I guess too.
@ I meant to say I don’t think I have the metallic black but it looks great. Finding nice Matchbox is good,as it’s the brand I used to get most as a young boy. I forgot to add, another great video 👍🏼
@@MarksDiecastAndResinScale Thank you
It seems that you only discovered these in a shop and not from a UA-cam video like I did and that would of been a cool surprise to find them👌 I did hear much about them till Series 2 and it was a while before I got some OZ Wheels to add to my collection I’ve just got ones I like the look of … I definitely have no interested in buying every single car they release. As well as the shops you got yours from,Repco and Autobarn stores sell them.If there’s either of those auto stores up your way, that’s a spot you can buy future releases … Repco cheapest at $13 although they are $3 there, there Hot Wheels bins are worth going through.I got a Toyota Supra and Subaru WRX I had no hope finding at other shops.
yeah I had never even seen them in videos and I do watch a bunch of diecast car videos. I have a Pepco near home and Autobarn too I think and never seen any cars in them but that has been a while. I have got some nice cars from Supercheap before but thanks, I will go check them out too. I also only got the ones I wanted. I found a bunch of cool releases in my local Reject shop for the Hot Wheels too and will put up a video of them soon.
@ when I went to the Repco where I got my first 2,I had to ask at the counter,as they were kept out back. The staff member let me go through the box and I got a red XA GT and a white XW ute. Other Repco stores have them out on the pegs. The Reject Shop can be good to find diecast,my last visit didn’t get me any Hot Wheels but I did get a few Matchbox cars.
