With its unique decoration, inviting reading corners, and a warm ambiance, the Bahasa Basudara Café fosters an environment where visitors can engage in conversations, savour cups of teas, coffees, smoothies or juices, and explore English literature and different international cultures. Whether you're a beginner, student or a seasoned speaker, the café's amicable atmosphere ensures that everyone can exchange ideas, share stories, and connect with a community of like-minded individuals who share a passion for the English language. Here, laughter is welcome, and learning is celebrated, creating a haven where words truly know no borders.

We are opening an English language cafe in Ambon. We hope that this will be a safe place and a hub for young people and families who want to practice their English - from broken English to native speakers. There will be lots of English books, nice board games, cool music, good coffees, teas, juices, smoothies and friendly people.

Bahasa Basudara Cafe will start opening its door on Monday 4 March 2024 at 5pm. For the first few weeks we will have soft opening whilst we are trying new menus, train our friendly baristas and collect suggestions from all of you so we could make this cafe the "go to" place for learning English in Ambon. So please come and visit and talk to us. We would also thank all of our numerous supporters: Mandala Finance, Daya Lima, Kostu Cafe / Noozkaf, all of you who contributed financially and raised money for Bahasa Basudara, those who donated the excellent books and board games, Bahasa Basudara team in Ambon and our social media team...and of course our Cafe Manager and the cafe team.
