I live in Canada I am $60k in debt for being a Pharmacy Tech. I have worked years. You make it seem good!! No way I could ever be a compounding tech. I am living in poverty after years of working so hard. You are lucky. I pay student loans and I cannot afford to live. Wow. USA
I wish high schools promoted jobs like Pharmacy technician because they are useful and you can do it without a college degree but you do have to be extremely intelligent to do it
"safety meetings" lol
Don't see any African Americans
I am instrument technician
V nice
I just found this video, but unfortunately i'm going to have to incur the debt to do the 9 mo program for tech & sterile IV compounding in order to try to go straight from externship hopefully into the hospital. AT this age, i do not have time to spend years in retail making no money to gain experience. I'm praying that between my program & externship that i can get a hospital job. Prayers up. I did go ahead & apply for the TX state trainee license which i see some of them will accept, so hopefully i can get my foot in the door at night
How can you get started this
Oh, I believe! I am able to do this Job. And I! been doing Nurse Aide 20 years for Assistants Living. Now i would like to do this interesting Job.!🙏❤️👍
Iam instrumentation engineer and i have one year experience now iam searching for a job
But you cant be one cuz ur not... black.

is a rigger physcially demanding?
I'm about to finish college at Baton Rouge Community College to be a process technician. I want a job at dow, but it seems like people are holding me back from being a Dow man. Can someone help me out.
@@joep5815 did you find anything?
Folks in this career field is highly needed especially in oil and gas processing plants which are everywhere
Diversity hires. Men have to put in more work to get to this point.
In America have a instruments work
Got my ptec degree 15 years ago and it hasn’t done shit for me
You have to switch your resume up

I am a diploma holder in instrument technician
What country are you resident of ?

I’m a Process Operator, I don’t have a degree, it’s been all on the job training. I have two years experience now, which I would argue is better than a degree. I work 4 days on, 4 days off (rotating 12 hour shifts) and make $32.50/hour (with 4 hours OT per day). It’s a great job, it has its frustrating moments, but it’s a great career path for sure.
I have an interview for oxy chem on Tuesday. Starting pay is around 32$ and some change. Surely I don't need a degree to get an opportunity. I do have 4 years of chemical loading experience. Hopefully I can get the job.

I was wondering if you could give me any tips on getting on with Dow. I fill out application after application but so far no luck on a job. Im in my last year of college for process. I want to be a Dow man that's my dream but it seems dreams don't come true. I'm a hard worker and I'm willing to learn I just need help getting in. Any advice you could lend me.
@@cartersluvJESUSI had an interview for oxy today, did you get the job?
how did you get in without a degree
The man is not lying. 15 years on the ground 11 full time rigging I have welding and structural back ground also. Now I’m in a seat of a tower crane no more 2$ raises gimme my rate or find someone else and trust me ain’t nobody like us when we start from the bottom.
I'm on the way up, go Ironworkers.
Riggers
Very cool, Jonathan. I can’t believe I’m just seeing this.
Ive been out of the service for a long time and am going on 12 years without an offer As an instrument tech or operator, I got my Instrumentation degree and even went to UH afterwards. Im leaning more towards a different career
Same for me
I started off driving prime movers to construction sites. Became a rigger after that and then became a crawler crane operator. Keyword is upgrade. Planning to work on offshore cranes soon.
awesome hope it workes out for you from a scaff/rigger
Hello sir am a rigger from Nigeria I need help I can deliver well sir please 🙏🙏
I will do this as a part time job. Wondering if I’m too late (or to old)??😩 I’m 44.
She's so cute
I DON'T GIVE A DAMN ABOUT YOUR LIFE STORY, WHAT IS A RIGGER? 🤦🏻♀️
Really how do they feel when you show up and the freight is damaged? FXF does not care about customer service. I worked there for 12 years, they shit all over the customers on a daily basis.
Wish i could get into this field, got my degree, applied to jobs from CA to SD. still with no luck. I wish I was given a chance to work in this industry. I'll keep applying, and I guess if I'm working burgers then that's my life.
Did you find a job yet?
Pro-tip: lie your a** off on the application. In fact, it is kind of expected. Once you have that first job experience on your resume, it's a piece of cake getting new jobs.
Well that option failed
Worst part is my family supported me damn I'm a douchebag
I partied at a house and got arrested and couldn't qualify for med school. The dream is dead I think I'll harass homeless people to forget about being a disappointment to my dad.

A wise man once told me "Don't trust them new riggers over there!"
Know what you're getting into when becoming a Pharmacy Tech in any Texas Medical Center area hospital. Please search on Google for strategies for working with difficult co-workers. If you work at any Houston Medical Center hospital, there will usually be a certain number of pharmacy techs that are toxic. Think insensitive, shaming, humiliation critical, & disrespectful. This on top of caffeinated nurses / surgery support that spout frustration at you for things out of your control. This on top of work policies that are changed on an almost quarterly basis by pharmacy management. This on top of terrible traffic coming & leaving from work. The turnover in pharmacy techs in any Texas Medical Center area hospital isn't centered on the pay. It's the combined weight of stresses on the pharmacy tech that leads to them leaving. I found a government acknowledgement of the workplace challenges: Disrespectful Behavior in Health System Pharmacy Practice: Consequences & Next Steps Andrew T. Ruplin & Bryan C. McCarthy.
I love this video so much you were so amazing explaining everything that you did I am currently in school for instrumentation and I was worried for what the future is gonna hold for me your experience gave me hope thank you for uploading this
