what a incredible movie, and, of course, incredible soundtrack

This might be the best existential road movie I've ever seen (no disrespect to Easy Rider, Two-Lane Blacktop or others). The soundtrack and cinematography and pace of the film are truly atmospheric. Great acting and dialogue which is used only sparingly. Great job, Wim Wenders!!

Sigh. Last week in Nuremberg, I strolled around their school they all went to, and another address their website gives, on Ostend-Str. -is that the widow or daughter of Johnny Fickert? Anyway, I was looking for other things in that city. But I couldn't get their music and especially the Kings of the Road soundtrack out of my head. The most underrated music I know! I heard Nick Drake for example twice on German radio in long years listening to it but I S Ltd.? Never ever... though the genius behind it all, Axel Linstädt, has been with Bayrischer Rundfunk a long time. The music was revealed to me after I bought a pirated Blue Ray Disc, deep in China. Without the soundtrack, also by other artists, the movie would be rather tedious.

The movie is filmed with 24 frames per second, the so far usual speed for all cine films since the beginning of sound film. On DVD, it is transferred with 25 fps, the picture frequency of TV system. That is why film music on CD or vinyl disc is always a bit slower and lower than the tunes you can hear on DVD's or on TV!

does anyone understand how can this music be in different key, that is one tone lower, than version in the film on my DVD? and it's not only in this track, also e.g. "Nine feet over tarmac". This fascinates me :D
