This video lists 900 Classical composers from the year 1000 to the present day, more or less ranked by all-time fame. How many do *you* know? You are cordially invited to share your score and remarks in the comments below. If the list goes too fast, you can adjust the speed using UA-cam control settings.
This ranking will always be somewhat subjective. The list is not ranked by quality, which is even more subjective. The final slides show some statistics as to the composer collection that was ranked.

Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy (1809-1847) wrote this cantata "Hör mein bitten" ("Hear my prayer") in 1844, on a text by William Bartholomew. It was first performed in 1845 in London by Ann Mounsey. On this contemporary performance, we hear the beautiful voice of soprano of Béatrice Voellmy, with Jean-Christophe Geiser on organ, and the Ensemble vocal de Lausanne, conducted by Michel Corboz.

I love this album length Jeff playlist. It inspired me make one of my own which I called ELO "Adjacent". Jeff and ELO have many more good songs outside of the setlist that you hear at our of their concerts.

Если у меня плохое настроение - я слушаю его музыку и песни, и оно улучшается, становится хорошим. А если оно уже было хорошим, то от его песен оно становится отличным! Те песни и мелодии, которые звучат ЗДЕСЬ, я никогда раньше не слышал, однако они ничем не хуже хитов с его сольных альбомов, дисков ELO 80-х годов или времён Travelling Wilburys. А кое в чём даже и лучше 👍! Я не являюсь активным поклонником или фанатом сэра Джеффа, однако с его творчеством знаком неплохо, и с уверенностью могу сказать, что у него просто нет плохих, проходных песен. Настоящее английское качество во всех смыслах, старая добрая Англия, хотя мистер Линн уже давно обосновался в США...
