Great scene from a great film. Larry Summers has said that the scene is actually very similar to what happened when he met with the Winklevoss twins back in 2004.

do not use the permanent markers
He's correct...their issues have NOTHING to do with the school
I'm devastated by that 😂😂
As dismissive and condescending as he was the fact is its there word against zuckerbergs and they dont have it in writing.
I legitimately thought the dude playing Larry Summers was Pulitzer proze winning playwrite and character actor Tracy Letts (Henry Ford II in Ford V. Ferrari)
How many takes to get the doorknob to waddle/spin like that at the end?
maybe if the winklevoss twins won Facebook and literally every other social media wouldn't be corrupt, contaminated, and satanic filth*
Douglas Urbanski did a great job here and hes not even an actor
The older I get, the funnier this scene gets. Mr. President already decided how he felt before they walked in. They just couldn’t see it yet.
Arrive at the point is the best line
2004: "Inventing a job is better than finding a job." Gen Z in 2023: "We have to WORK? We have to work more than 10 hours a week? We have to leave our bedrooms to WORK? Where is my Universal Basic Income?!? Why aren't white people paying for everything? I identify as a tree, and I need to be supported so I can complete my gender studies degree and pretend to be an artist in my spare time!"
Keep going and show your ignorance some more
One issue is that Summers is supposed to be right but was completely wrong about 'Facebook isnt going to be worth millions of dollars'
That's not the point here
They still ended up winning.. they had a golden opportunity and it was stolen, however they were really early investors in bitcoin and an bitcoin exchange.
Mark Zuckerberg. An honest and trustworthy man.
So it turns out the dean was wrong right? The twins did end up having grounds to sue.
An out of touch principal at an ivy league. No surprise here.
In a way, but this scene is more about how entitlement doesn’t necessarily allow you to walk all over everyone? Given these counter-intuitive notions, that might seem odd, but no one ever said hierarchies are meant to make sense…
Such a shame this guy isn't in movies any more. Cancel cancel culture!
Hes a shitty actor but hes been casted in several up and coming movies. Try again?
You can feel the twins' frustration throughout this scene
"From the looks of it they want to sell me a Brooks Brother franchise." Fucking savage LMAO. Principal Summers hasn't even greeted them but was already roasting them while on the phone with someone else and them listening.
That “colleagues of their father” is so good
She seemed like a kiss-ass
1:21 did anyone catch Tyler’s eyes?? Like wtf😂
.gov on there head
Punch me in the Face, Two Colonel Generals, and Vice Admiral Lieutenant's came in here.
At least they didn't eat him.
lol this dude is like a top dog exec producer in real life so I imagine talking down on people was natural to him
“We’re sitting in chairs.”
As Logan Roy would say. Don't worry you'll get your nut
"Punch me in the face. Go ahead" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
The scenes in this movie are addictive to watch
3:04 Winklevoss 1: of course I’m not saying that Winklevoss 2: I’m saying that Lmao
I love this scene. Idk maybe its just watching privilege college kids who always have doors open and are born into money not get their way….
@@antares6864 i must have hit the little red button for you lol. Where did i say college wasn’t useful? 🤣
Shows what a piece of shit Larry Summers was and what true gentleman the Winklevosses were
"this building's a hundred year's older than the country it's in. so do be careful." "we're sitting in chairs."
This was the best scene of the movie
Wonderful. I hope there are more movies about Cuban music
2:56
I love how they get put in their place so quick and rudely.....
They still made suck resign from Harvard And the the twins made their billions as of 2022 If the twins were actual descendents of donors, it would've been worse for suck.
i had no idea who larry summers is until now and it makes the winklevoss much more interesting for having done this hilarious conversation
"Thats not the point" ... "pls arrive at the point"
I love how the "punch me in the face" interruption was all it took to indicate that this was not going to end in their favor.
And then the look that Anne gave them afterwards, as if to say "Not going so well, huh?"
College deans always involve special treatment when they don't want to intervene.
-"Anne" -"Yes, sir?" -"Punch me in the face. Go ahead..." That single piece of dialog in itself makes the whole film worth watching.
This is such a well written scene
'We never asked for special treatment.' You think they would've gotten that meeting with the president of Harvard if they weren't from the family they were from?
“We’re sitting in chairs.”
"Havard undergraduates believe that inventing a job is better than finding a job"
If this scene was accurate that would be ridicules!!!
Larry Summers is already an asshole but this movie made him even more of an asshole.
Larry Summers is a public “self” servant piece of shit who just didn’t want to have to do any work for his astronomical taxpayer-funded salary, perks, pension, and endless lifelong benefits. Government employees get rich from higher taxes, we get poorer
