Somerton, in the fertile Yuma Valley in southwestern Yuma County, is about 12 miles south of Yuma and 180 miles east of San Diego, at an elevation of 103 feet. It is equidistant from the California and Mexican borders. Somerton was established in 1898 and incorporated in 1918.

Hey! I'm in one of the pictures!! At 1:15 in right side of the picture. We were changing the blower membranes inside one of the reactors at the wastewater plant... give those wastewater guys a raise, when I was there(twice), we did it ALL with very limited resources. Theres plenty that City Hall doesnt see. I know this because when I was there, there were many situation Sam Palacios wasnt aware of until he would physically come out to the plant. Help those guys out, I know Jose P and Ricardo G are still there. Take care of them
