It has been 20 years or better since I've had a sloppy Joe. I believe it was mama Debbie Barton that would make her group of hell raisers that canned manwich back in the day, and we'd knock them down (probably with some doritos.) Fast-forward to last night, and I got a hankering to try my hand at it. It's a funny thing how you can recall things from your childhood you wouldn't ordinarily consider. After tinkering around with it for a bit, I eventually found flavor notes that reminded me of the version I grew up on. This one definitely ain't that, but it still sent me back to my younger days.
