Gilian Is really dangerous
I love this. The Thai masters just call this a kick. They don't really care what range you are because they'll throw a round house at you and keep the knee bent if you bumrush them and then hit you with a crushing knee. This actually hurts MORE than a regular roundhouse which already hurts like hell. If you're slightly longer range, they just straighten out the knee and hit you with the upper shin. Even more out they kick you with mid shin, then lower shin, then the instep of the foot.
Spong mentioning there is no wrong way is true. Fighting is all about reacting accordingly to opponents movement
