Building Sustainable Livelihoods Through Hydroponics
In Kyaka II Refugee Settlement, African Youth Action Network (AYAN) partnered with Hydroponic Farms Uganda to train smallholder farmers in climate-smart agriculture. The program introduced innovative hydroponic farming techniques, enabling participants, primarily refugee women, to grow nutritious food in small spaces and earn income from surplus produce.
Key Highlights:
