After the Pandemic, my social skills have immensely deteriorated and I got stage fright. In short, I'm an introvert. I have a fear of public speaking, I stutter a lot and my mind just goes blank. My family says that HUMSS is the perfect strand for me since I don't face much trouble with English. I agree with them and it's true, English is the easiest subject for me and HUMSS is a perfect fit, but I'm anxious. I deeply regret not having done anything during the Pandemic for two years, I didn't try to interact with anyone and just sat in my room, answering modules without a care in the world. Thanks to that, my social skills have basically disappeared. Compared to my peers, I fall way behind when it comes to socializing. I'm way too quiet nor do I try to answer in any recitation, causing my grades to have a setback. Currently, I'm trying to take STEM instead of HUMSS, simply because I'm afraid. Afraid of speaking publicly, socializing, and more. Not that I'm saying STEM does not include socializing or speaking publicly, I suppose I'm only picking STEM just because it has way less activities requiring public speaking.
