Hello! I’m Jackson (or Jack)! I’m a rail fan from Northern New York who spends a considerable amount of my free time finding good filming spots along railroads. I mostly film CSX, but I have many other railroads documented. I don’t have a regular upload schedule, I usually upload the days I get videos. I’m not dependent on views and/or likes, but feel free to like subscribe and share with friends so you can enjoy train content!!!

CSX 66 stopped in Kingston waiting for a southbound, which happened to be CSX 1981 Pan Am Heritage. Video on that is already out.

It’s a straight on the Mohawk sub. Road name is Linwood place in Whitesboro.
Anyone else notice the power poles in the background?
Those were old phone lines. When Ma Bell abandoned those copper networks for wireless relay, the railroads took them over.

Not quite. RS 1, with a Macintosh & Seymour 539, 6 cyl turbo. 1000hp. First RS 1 built 1939, last in 1959. RS 2 had a 12 cyl 244 good for 1500hp, RS 3 a 12 cyl 251 good for 1600hp. RS 1 hoods are boxy, while RS 2 and 3 are more rounded.
You are correct my mistake! I was going off of the side serial number plate, and I must have inputted the incorrect number. I just reverified it and it does come back to a ALCO RS-1. She was built in 1950.
I always carry a couple of water jugs to use for that. My carrying strap doubles as an anchor connection to them.
