In the entire history of the X Factor there were only ever four really good singers... and the other three competed the same year as Ruth. Any other year she would have won (and in my not very humble opinion should have.)

The vocal inflections, the growls, the facial expressions, the non-verbal language, the hair, the hands, the soul in her voice. This woman is in a league of her own.

I like this Bon Jovi song but for me Ruth sang it so much better that it gives me goosebumps every time I listen to it

I'm British and remember this. She came last cos she is Spanish. Her mistake was telling everyone she is Spanish. British don't vote for foreign talent even if they are leaps and bounds above their Britain competitors like ruth is

Ruth the gravel voiced rock goddess .....she was one of if not THE best ever contestant ..J..she was semi- pro to pro- level...which has been subject to controversy with these talent shows. ..all very fake & shady how the (semi-) pros and amateurs are mixed with each other....not a fair competition really tbh when those who made the furthest (eg Ruth (came 5th)...,Alexandra (came 1st)...) It means it's far more difficult for genuine non- pro amateurs to progress far now ie still going on in/on eg BGG ass's 3

WOW 🥰 Cant remember a X factor sing off where all judges applause and you can tell they were gutted with the public vote. The public were looking for Whitney Houston, Ruth was Joan Jett and Celiene dion. We failed and got Alexandra burke.. I mean where is she now :/

I liked the original version. I LOVED the GnR version. But THIS - when i saw it live on TV at the time just blew them all away. To say she nailed it is the biggest understatement of all time. Just phenomenal. It still takes my breath away and brings a tear to my eye every time I see and hear it. The best.

How did she not win & be so famous. Corruption is the only thing I can think of. She is one of the best singers this planet has ever had
