I don’t know how UA-cam recommended me the video but I grew up in a tiny hamlet in the forests between Karwar and Mundgod. I moved to the USA after high school and lived here for decades - so it was an interesting video.
The green leafy stuff you saw for sale which you didn’t know what it was was fresh green chick peas. You open the pods and eat.

Kanding is frontier aka border town of Tibet where Chinese tradera and Tibetan traders do business through barter. Kanding is Chinese name and Dar Tse Do is Tibetan. Chinese have changed so many names of places in Tibet to look more Chinese. Eg. Ngari is called Ali now. Ngari borders Ladakh, Himachal and UP.
So very interesting to hear about your life and learning in Dharmsala , thank you for sharing. I love the knits, the cardigan is beautiful- another pattern for my queue! 🧶Cher

I watched this too!! so cool. I didn't actually get much knitting done while I watched, I was too interested in what you were showing us. I'm looking forward to your video from Nepal. Many many years ago I found the book, The Third Eye by Lobsang Rampa.... I found it on the street in NYC and in Spanish... obviously I adopted it and was entranced by the fairy tale which takes place in Nepal. Have you read it?
No and I was in Tibet now not in nepal. While I have been in nepal before and loved it. Lobsang Rampa is quite a difficult person as he pretended to be a tibetan lama. But I can't say anything about his books. Have a great easter
