Declaration of Love
Always Be My Maybe 2019
Everybody always talk about the importance of communication in relationships. Maybe it's just me but I never realized just how challenging it is for me to really express myself. There are no "right" words that soothe hurt feelings and withholding what I really want to say usually winds up with both parties unsatisfied.

Totally can relate. My parents married 2 times. Never divorced. Just did it twice with each other for different religious style of wedding. Guess what thier family's religion was! Catholicism and Protestantism. BTW, Their children are all atheists.

This is all very well but there's a total lack of celebratory gunfire so, in my view, not a proper wedding at all...

A phrase for marriage in Chinese is 終身大事 which translates to "an event that lasts until the end of your life." That's how seriously Chinese people understand marriage in the traditional sense.

Indian (Punjabi) weddings...On. Another. Level. Last anywhere between 2 months to 2 years!! I think this is just typical with Asia as a region, cross-cultural stuff that we all share.

Well Indians are laughing... Indians in US have 4 weddings!! one in the court, one Indian style in US, one US style if the spouse in American, one in India for relatives and friend back home....and the traditional Indian ones comprise of 6 to 7 days of celebrations and events. My Indian friend got married in South India and her blessed timing for wedding as per their family priest was 4:30 a.m.!! I was expecting not even the bride and groom to show up on time, low and behold.. there were 800 plus guests at the wedding at 4:30 a.m.!! By 10 a.m. there were over 2,000 people at the wedding. People sitting on the ground eating all kinds of spicy stuff that could burn a hole through one's midsection. That food was not for the faint of the heart.
