I never heard of Layton before Strictly. I followed him there because he was an exciting dancer and because he seemed more genuine than most. Then I watched his Bafta conversation with Johannes Radebe and learned how much being gay and black can narrow your performing options. I knew the theory of racism and homophobia but hearing first hand how it limits such excellent performers was sad. Then it all played out in front of my eyes with people trolling him on Strictly. I joined some social media sites to see exactly what was being said and was completely horrified at how vile people can be when there is no accountability. Now I am one of his biggest fans because watching him has entertained me but also touched and educated me. That he can do that for a white woman of quite advanced years is no mean feat! Going forward I hope that people will see past the superficial and value him for the gift that he is.

I've known him for a little over two years. I live in Japan and am studying English, so there are a lot of his movies that I can't see in Japan. Still, I keep watching UA-camrs because I want to see more of him. I fell in love with him at the end of this ××× world. I've seen many other titles as well. he's a really great actor. I've never seen an actor like this. His voice was calm and soothing, and I felt so happy when I heard it 🍀
