I like Alan Watts videos, but any title that says "will leave you SPEECHLESS", epecially with all-caps, makes me really not want to watch the content. It is the worst of the clickbait titles.

When I ponder that topic more deeply, I find that I disagree with that particular verse. The love of money is not the root of all evil; it’s the root of some evil. Sometimes it’s the love of sex or lust; sometimes it’s jealousy, and sometimes it’s hatred that’s the root of many evils, which can be broken down into various subcategories like racism/prejudices, grudges (vengeance/vendetta/bad blood between two or more people), and simply fear and personal insecurities that lead to many acts of injustice. Those insecurities can ignite jealousy and hatred. Fear can also influence people to do many heinous things. Not to mention, there’s also evil against children. How many times have husbands or wives brought harm to their spouses for cheating? How many times have partners become lethality violent for wanting to break up? How many times have men brought harm to one another just for talking to a lady someone else was interested in? The motivation for evil can take on many different angles; it’s not always about money.

I regard the 4 gospels as religious mythology corrupted by the church. Christianity is a shame based religion. It begins by saying your were born a sinner. People take this as their fundamental identity and are wounded by shame. The reason humans are now facing certain near term extinction from abrupt climate change is shame. Shame is the enemy of humanity and results in narcissism (soul disease). Narcissism is now epidemic in the USA and throughout the world. Lots of good Christianity did humanity. Instead of doing everything they can to save themselves and all Life from extinction, Americans are addicted to social media, opiates, pornography, etc and cannot be bothered to save themselves. Suffering unlike anything ever seen in human history is on our doorstep.
