Yes, during Covid we did put it in a vaporizer to add disinfectant to the air, though it the manufacturer will tell you that is not its stated use. You can use Oxine and Virkon to disinfect anything, but for humans there are less expensive household alternatives. Human diseases are not all permanently contagious such as the common cold, which chickens do not get; theirs are more serious. Chickens get diseases that are like herpes and HIV and spread them when asymptomatic so it's vital that we practice good biosecurity for our flocks.

I remember that very well. It seemed quite a show for him (Mike) to be honest because that creature would likely never actually grow anything for real. It is, however, a good thing for kids to learn to grow food, without question! Sounds about right! There is always a dominant hen. In my Brahma flock, my only Dark Brahma was the very strict dominant hen. Ironically, Dark Brahmas are silver-based in their coloring while Partridge is gold based.

I try to give them a good life. They do a lot for me as well, keep me active and caring for something, as well as providing their wonderful eggs and fertilizer (and entertainment, of course).

She was borderline abused what used to be considered a decent hospital, even suffered a heart attack according the the EKG they did. Let's just say that there is a male nurse on her case who needs to be flipping burgers. But she's home now and can rest up from the ordeal. I don't think she's out of the woods, but she was not getting the proper care in the hospital. Seems a lot of hospitals after Covid went into the toilet.
