Detroit and Mackinac #8 is still sitting there awaiting repairs
and has been awaiting restoration since 1979, they only plan to restore it if they can get a lot of funds for it. the only thing that was restored was mainly its tender. it is unknown why they stopped the restoration but currently is used for halloween. the boiler is operational but the train frame is cracked.
@@BloxShigans who knows? Maybe someone could start a fundraiser to help Henry Ford Museum repair and restore D&M #8
