What Alan Jackson did was standing up for Country music, "real" Country music, and before you throw out the race card, it has nothing to do with race. Look to Charlie Pride for an example, Charlie Pride is loved by Country Music fans, and why? because he sings "real" country music, not Pop Country music. They keep trying to steer Country music toward Pop Music, and it takes a big time traditional country artist to bring it back to it's traditional roots, and all true Country music fans love, and appreciate.
