Village Creek River Otter

Filmed a River Otter while it fished, caught one, and ate it. Rare to see in these parts. Hope you enjoy the video!
Santa called ME..well..called Raegan.

Raegan wanted an Elsa bicycle for Christmas and told Santa that when she saw him the other day. We got it for her but had it at our house. When she checked her Christmas presents at home it wasn't there and she was sad..complaining that Santa forgot it. So I had my friend pretend to be Santa and call me when she got to my house. I even changed his name to Santa in my phone and his profile Pic w...

Im going to get one
Got mine for ..140 that's cause hand grip was broken and no screw ,however ordered a 12 inch stock from ebay run better then Chevy truck 😊 . security model that is 😮
Hi, what the name of the tool you use to press the lips of the shell?
Roll crimper.
@mcschneiveoutdoors3681 thanks!
How or where did you get a rollcripper like that?? Could you please hook me up a link get one like that please
a.co/d/aBA8XOw
Order mine from a company in Russia. Had to wait a long time for delivery. This looks to be the same one.
Where and how did you find that roll cripper to make ? Could you please give link to find one for myself
put a wood stock on it from a 500 and for the price it's damn near perfect.
👍 nice fit.
A noob question for you and I'm sure that I'm probably over thinking it. Is it worth to resize the slug, so I can push the slug inside the wad through barrel with some resistance before shooting it ?
Meh... maybe. You might shave some MOA, but as seems to be the saying of the day: "Is the juice worth the squeeze?" I don't know. Worth trying I suppose!
@@mcschneiveoutdoors3681 - I notice the Lee 1oz slug are wider on top then the bottom and I didn't know if that was a issue. When I saw your video, I thought I'm probably over thinking
@moiecol what I made is pretty accurate out to about 30 yards. As long as you're not trying to snipe chupacabras 1000 yards away, they are fine. I make them for plinking at cardboard boxes or 2 liter bottles of Sams Choice soda.
@mcschneiveoutdoors3681 -I tried the wad with the petals removed and used a lube cotton patch, but I put it in the shell backward. It shot great from 5-25 yards at the gun range; it punched perfect holes and had no tumbling. My plan was home defense.
Just happened to my 2017 Nissan Versa Coupe this week. Although mine doesn't seem to even have a nut on it(that I can see). I'm wondering if I could JB Weld it?
@@gregzeigler3850 probably so!
WHat are you using to compress the charge?
You do know you don't have to place anything to hold the slug in place....The roll crimp dose that for you.
@geolopez914 I did that because as I roll crimped the top of the slug was grinding against my crimper. After many of those, I would have to dig out the lead deposits.
@@mcschneiveoutdoors3681 AHHHH Understood I to had to modify my roll crimp also to avoid damaging the slug! 👍🏻
I should probably do the same. But I make enough at one whack to last me a few years and never think about in the meantime.
@@mcschneiveoutdoors3681 Yes I make 4 variations of the AS Molds twister slug And have made thousands myself But the 4 pin crimp tool I have did need some modifications to achieve a perfect crimp! Wish I could send a pic.
Great video! So a 7/8 oz slug at what diameter? Ive seen that most 2 gauge slugs are about .690 mm. So as long as the projectile is at/or smaller than this it should be fine right?
I replaced the rubber seal on the cowl from Amazon that cost 9.00. Works great
Came for the shotgun review, stayed for the honeysuckle tips 😆
Did the fouling get into the action of the gun? Or since it was in a shell was it contained to the chamber and barrel past the shell? I apologize i didnt watch the full video yet i hope to when i have time soon
@@Donutkommando meh.... not really. The action wasn't any dirtier than if smokeless was used.
When I put my primer in, it dimples the primer. And one primer even went off after a couple hits and it looks like it handguns primer strike…
After resizing, I tap the casing out a little bit before seating the primer. Doing it that way I've never had a primer pop. Leaving the casing seated all the way in the die has lead to a couple of primer pops for me. Also ensure there isn't anything left in hole in the holder to damage the bottom of the primer.
@@mcschneiveoutdoors3681 I appreciate the info. I read through the comments and saw that you mentioned it on someone’s concern so I tried it and so far haven’t had any other primer pops. First one scared the s&$@ of out me. Haha
@@TorresTactical yeah. Me too! I demonstrate it in the video.
I would be interested in the muzzle velocity on these rounds.
Just got a 17' 1974 Smoker Craft Cheyenne in near perfect condition that needs this done as well.
Thx a lot
You couldn't have just bought the seal?
Nope. Would have been nice, tho
@@mcschneiveoutdoors3681 I hear ya. $300+ for a piece of plastic is just crazy.
Facts! But the replacement is still going strong.
Ok. So when you say Brillo Pad, do you mean the brand-name one, or the steel-pussy type from the Navy?
Is it big enough to make 2 drinks?
As long as they aren't big drinks.
Why do you feel the need to anneal? I’ve reloaded 45-70s with Pyrodex RS for my Trapdoor, Ballard, and 86’ Winchester for years. They last a long time but do eventually get small cracks in the mouth, then I just shorten them to 45-60 length for my Uberti 76’ Win.
Didn't really feel the need. Just did it. I haven't done it since.
I understand crimping for a tubular magazine. What is the reason for crimping your cartridge for a single shot rifle?
Pressure.
Real
Butter bullets? 😁 .44 mag is a reloaders dream and it was the first caliber i loaded myself after i had the licence. I have a Ruger Super Blackhawk and love to teach new shooters with low power 44s. Have a nice weekend.
Ripped my rotator cuff and pulled the arm completely out of the socket when I was 15 , never got it fixed, now im 62. My favorite weapon was 45.70 from about 1885, levergun. She was old but immaculate. Miss it more than the wife... just watching made the socket pop
Dang, Mike. That little story made me feel like a survivor!! 🙃
@@mcschneiveoutdoors3681 bro, that is one of the happiest stories I got... lol....be well..
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I imagine it kicks pretty hard. I tried slugs in my 18.5" Maveric security, it was like getting kicked by a mule. 😆
I also have the Mav 88 with 20" inch. This was one with 27". Both have a Mule stomp. I'm considering getting some wood furniture for a 500 to stick on it. Thanks for watching, my firend.
Ouch
You need to add a nitro card.
I do? After hundreds...and HUNDREDS of these I just assumed the two part piston and shot cup was enough. Lemme make and shoot several hundred more and I will get back with ya! Thanks for watching and commenting!
I wonder how the shortened length cycles in semi auto shotguns
Made some good carbed honeysuckle mead a few yrs ago. Needed more honeysuckle, but not bad.
Love ya❤❤❤
I wonder if the new Walker G43 will also fit?
Unknown.
Love the combination between coleman and eagle products man. 🔥
I use these for rifle but haven’t tried pistol yet. Never once used lube on rifle cases, is it different for pistol?
Hi there! The latest video on my channel is all about a real crime documentary. Spent a significant 14 hours on it. Looking forward to your feedback, positive or negative.
Have u ever had a primer go off on accident? Thats what im afraid of cuz i live around a bunch of neighbors. Ill be relaoding at 2 in morning. And the primer will accidentally go off from me tapping the hammer to seat it or something.
I have. It's loud, for sure. I figured out that after I hammer the casing into the resizing and tap it back out about an 1/8" inch and THEN tap in the primer I don't experience a primer pop.
@@mcschneiveoutdoors3681 ah that's what I was afraid of. I would be having to explain to the cops why there was a gunshot going off. When it's just reloading. I guess I'm gonna have to just keep buying manufactured ammo . Thank u so much for your reply!! I truly appreciate it!!! U saved me from having a awkward conversation in the middle of the night! Take care!! Stay safe
Osculating tool work real good for that
A friend has one. Modern gun. We're both afraid to shoot it. We just look at how that bolt closes down and we just cant get ourselves to try it.
Thanks! Your vid was the first vid of someone making Black Powder .44 Magnum. I'd love to try this and shoot those loads out of my rifle. Love it! I cast my own .44 Magnum rounds, and use Ramshot from Cabela's. Works great out of my .44 Magnum Henry Big Boy. I can make my rounds at $.30 a round. The 4lb Ramshot gun powder gives me over 1,300 rounds at full load. I use Lee bullet molds, press, and dies. I powder coat my bullets as well...no need to lube. God bless!
Thanks for watching, Joe! Stuff them things full of BP and get after it!
Made my day...!!!!!
Adorable...

What's make and model of the roll crimper
I don't remember precisely. I ordered it years ago from Russia...website was Forestcamping or something like that. But I've seen them on Amazon since then. Edit: here it is on Amazon Shotshell Reloading Crimp 12 gauge a.co/d/3J81dQl
@@mcschneiveoutdoors3681 Thanks I just ordered it
THANK YOU....Very helpful and much appreciated. This leaking rubber cowling allows water and other debris create issues with standing water in the engine compartment.
Certainly welcome. Glad the video helped! Thanks for watching and commenting
❤ maybe I will try it.
Man, if that ain't old-school I don't know what is. That's cool , thanks
Facts!
I bought this shotgun then decided I wanted the 18 1/2" barrel. Installed Magpul furniture at the same time. Its basically a 500 now.
