My water in a brand nrw house tasts aweful. If you wat for it to go to room two you can tast plastic or chemical. What could have caused this?

Can coils be joined together? Without using fittings and without creating seams or weak points. Can it just be made any length?

I’m guessing that first part with the light beam was the manufacture process where light is used to cross link the PEX?… Found this in a different article: Electron Beam crosslinking takes place when very high energy radiation is used to initiate molecular cross-linking in high density polyethylene. This product is extruded like normal HDPE then taken to an E-beam facility and routed under a beam or ray in the accelerator where it is dosed with a specific amount of radiation to release the hydrogen atoms and cause polymer cahins to bond or link to the open carbon sites.

Why would you put a compression fitting over an expanded fitting? When you force the pex pipe open and insert the connector, the pex pipe will come back to it original size and make a tight fit around the connector. So you don't need to use the compression fitting with nut.

Can you over tighten it and puncture the pex?

Why the huge $ Price difference between "One" inch , and "One1/4" pipe ?
