My Veto TECH PAC Review & Final Loadout
No shame in pink i use to use zebra duct tape on my tools in commercial so keep stuff mine. I can see your use for the big twin grips if it can grab 1/2 or 3/4 black pipe. I do suggest looking into insulated inspection mirrors for a few reason if there cheap enough. Easy to clean can avoid issues if grounding rods are bonded to the pipes. May seem silly but it does happen to get an electrified pipe and say under a dishwasher or pump housing you cant arc things out. Defiantly some fun stuff and you keep rocking that magenta flair.
@@MattHmm-rq6dn will definitely take a look for some .
Hi Quise. MM mentioned you have your own channel. Merry Christmas. So I got the 6" Lobster X-drive adjustable wrench yesterday. $19.70 on Amazon. Very thin and light., maybe too much so for regular use. Handle is highly skeletonized. Adjuster is 3 twists and smooth operation. Jaws seem to be parallel, versus the usual tip-tight, so they're easier to use as a wrench in limited areas. Three points of contact with hex head: top jaw, back of top jaw, and bottom jaw. Non-contact corner reliefs. Jaws are tapered and lightened. There's more movement in the lower jaw than a Milwaukee or Fujiya but acceptable. I'm guessing the 10" would be handy in awkward places, given the light weight and jaw action. And there you go. Happy New Year!
@@sumway-r1u Glad to see you here ,I was just introduced to those on MM last stream so I’ve been doing my research & may have to give em a text
I use them and light with thin jaws lend them selves to a tool pouch very well. I do residental stuff most of the time and they are decent for sure. The fujia ones i have are ok except for the black and gold line or the collosal sizes. I do own 52mm aka 2in wide 6in long adjustables from Fujia and they are monstrous/small. Thoes lobster adjustables are a better buy in my book vs fujia and there made in japan not other countries. Good choice i have that lobster and its a fine wrench.
@@MattHmm-rq6dn I recently tried the 7" Klein pliers wrench and hated them and returned them. Even though I dislike black tools, I tried the Fujiya 7" and they're really nice, and $35. I'm swapping the 6" Lobster X-drive for dipped handle. Also ordered a dipped Pocket Monki w/ 30mm jaws for $18.
I go the opposite way with my work as I found that the jaws on the twin grips are usually too large for my work, so I have a set of pliers from Tsunoda that have slim jaws on them that suit me better.
@@three-phase562 have you tried the 150’s yet?the new small size might be better for you
@@quiseplumbs No not tried those yet. My Tsunoda set are 200mm long, but the jaws are only 3mm thick, so still thinner than the 150s from Knipex.
Sounds like a good buy then ,will for sure check em out
Nice Dainty Tool Haul 😂 👍👍
Crazy our timing ,just seen your video for today .Glad you enjoyed it
Looks like a fun time routing all that. May i ask are goes ferncos? Looks like thoes rubber band clamps if they arnt I'd love to learn what NYC magic you use.
They made by a Husky brand ,not the same as the HD tools you’ve seen but they are just beefier rubber coupling that we use when jointing No Hub (Cast iron ) pipe up here in nyc .
Yea I'm used to seeing something like a fernco and thinking quick fix or ghetto repair. I'm glad there's options vs lead joints or unthreading something monstrous like that. I rarely see cast here besides old houses that I'm ussaly cutting it out at this point. Even copper is getting rare besides in repair situations. Looks like a good time.
@@MattHmm-rq6dn trust at the price those couplings come in at ,ain’t nothing ghetto bout it
I'm sure. Residential is where you see the worst stuff. I had a job week or so ago 4ft including an elbow was missing in a cast iron drain. There answer was fernco about 20 of them with 2in rusty pipe chucks barley bridging the whole thing together. It had about 20 degree u shaped smile in the center of it I about fell on the floor laughing 🤣. We repaired the lead joint and made it one run of pipe agian but I was entertained. You were on my mind thinking what would quise do? 😆 No boots solid joints historic house dictates originality sadly. Thanks for the knowledge and let me share a funny story
Looks alot better than any solder job i have ever done ✔️. I'd say can I just pro press it 😆
@@MattHmm-rq6dn appreciate that Matt
I'm not even a plumber, but you've almost convinced me getting one. Love those Knipexes.
What's so special about this? Bahahaha and why are you hanging copper in a steel hanger? Are you new?

We got a winner 🏆 🥇
Do more Knipex equipment such as pliers and cobra's.
I have some video mentions of the cobras .Would you want a full video just on the cobras ?
This is a nice piece of kit. My grandparents were from the same town in Sweden where Johan Petter Johansson lived and were machinists (well, the grandfathers). Johansson started the company Bahco (now owned by Snap-On). He invented the modern plumber wrench (1888) and adjustable wrench (patents in 1891 and 1892). I have no idea whether or not either of them worked there.
That’s cool asf, thanks for the information
@quiseplumbs unfortunately, I lost my grandfather's and father when I was very young and don't really have more history on that period. They all worked as tool and die makers in Rockford, IL until the mid-late 60s.
I feel like these are big beefy cobras. I like them, but still like a regular pipe wrench for holding back, throwing a cheater on, etc. (single handle)
I agree with you 100% .Dont think they could ever replace my rigids but definitely will work great along side em .
I recently got the 16 inch S pipe wrench from Knipex, but I haven't gotten a chance to use them yet. It's the winter of 2024 and I usually don't do much of anything in the winter. On top of it being too cold I have Crohn's and cannot handle the cold or high heat
@@jeffwolf8018 That’s sucks ,hope you find ways to work around it if possible .I’ll definitely be getting the 16” ones if I decide I like them enough .What size does the 16” say it goes up to ?
I can't help but think a decent but like you. Ive been opting for thinner jaws and speed wrenches. The scale of pipe i work on is far smaller so keep that in mind. I have a wonderful "top" (japan) speed wrench for thoes stubborn gas pipes. I almost never use a regular pipe wrenches it feels almost archaic. I did try the harbor freight sweetish pipe wrenches (I know crap 💩) as a test to see if i liked that style. I didn't hate them at all kinda small and precise. Thoes knipex looks like sheer quality and look forward to your report. I hope the teeth hold up much better than hf ones 😆.
@@MattHmm-rq6dn it’s a new for me too but I’ll be sure to come back after some usage
They are lookers for sure i had to get them myself. There my favorite size and yes they look better in person! The other day I was eyeballing some fujiya kurokin corbra clones that are all black period on az. The things we need in our life!
A good product in a shiny skin is all it is lmao .I don’t have to much experience with fujiya stuff
I have all of thoes tools and love them. I can't agree more on quality 20 to 30 bucks saved here and there won't help you if you can't do your job well or one failure. I've had 3 pipe related failures because someone used a cheap husky reamer on copper and abs. If they would have bought the rigid and been more vigilant on cleaning the pipe there wouldn't have been a pro press failure or glue joint. By the way check out cabnetmakers sidekick it holds a pica pencils and a tape. Best part is I never have to take it off to drive or crawl under a house it's super slim. I can even buckle my seat belt in my toyota matrix and not get in the way (6'4 270lbs not small guy). Good stuff 👍
I wanted to thank you for comming back for your own videos. I see you on MM lives often enough but never enough time with our favorite plumber!

Yes microphone much needed.
A plumber calling something “expensive”…. JeezLouise, what is this world turning into.?? Lol…. That was a real sleeper bag… Pulls out a torch kit.. 🤯 Maybe get rid of the bottle opener and put some cleaning brushes in its place..?
@@garycasper2929 with a carabiner would be perfect right? Hold all my standard sizes
Nice; looks like you can handle quite a lot. I see you have a few extra side pockets; may I suggest an inspection mirror and a magnetic pickup? The former in particular will allow you to check the backside of solder jobs. Another tool you may find useful is a set of crow's foot wrenches for sink supply lines that are up where they're hard to reach. I agree with MattHmm about a SB-LD loadout series on MM. I also agree with him about the sharkbite end caps for emergencies; need to get some myself!
@@OnusBones Appreciate the recommendations and sub. Will look into the mirror and magnetic pick up .I have one in my tech pac but not my sbld
Not bad just a lil advice start with lower fittings heat rises won't take as much heat by the time u get to upper fittings and won't chance solder seeping from top fittings due to excessive heat.

Nice setup, but those wera ratchet wrenches are dog shit imo. If something is tight dont try to use open end head, it will round the nut every time
@@Thompson-from-Finland I can understand that .Honestly it’s nice 10% of the time but the other 90% a cobra would be just as good
This is black edition ihave normal one with wiha high leverage plier with nws 240 high leverage cutter cheap needle nose cheap torpedo level and cheap torex key and makita ratchet screwdriver ratchet and cheap 13/12/10 wrench with ph and slotted vde 2in 1 screwdriver 😅
Yea I like it because it's black. That is a silly thing but not a fan of my tp3s color. That belt loop makes for great storage I always carried a icon / husky folding stick light in that loop. I find myself having many duplicates of many tools because I don't share tools between bags. I know it cost some money but in the end I don't loose them either. I almost pulled the trigger on that when acme (still may) has a promo for a free drill holder with 100 dollars in veto purchases. Time will tell if I give in but seeing 10in and 180s in there gives me perspective on what will fit. I also eith thoes bags if I don't use the clips put a parts bag on the back suspended by the d rings. It serves 2 purposes you get more storage and the weight keeps it less tippy. Thanks for rhe video!
That's a good idea about putting a stick light (or other flashlight) in the big belt loop; I think I will do that with my TP-3B when another set of lights I ordered arrives next week.
Thanks! My tp3 has a icon folding stick light in the belt loop because it fits and creates a litte more room for other tools. Love all rhe videos Newman quise and many of the other small channels are putting out let's support them all we can !
Nice setup
Agree on the deep organizers… they are really nice, but I think they are really suited for plumbers 👍👍

Morgan ,to hear that from you is awesome dude ,I appreciate it a lot
@@quiseplumbs 👍👍
A little loadout for that tp4b for a service call would be good 👍. Also would like to see knowledge or demos of some plumbing soldering p traps how you deal with galvie or cast vent pipes in the wall even if you have to talk about it. Any tips on lead joint removal drill it out heat and shop vac ect.
Just uploaded a video on the TP4B due to your recommendation
I've looked at that bag online and until you see it in scale with sizes you know it's heafty. That being the smallest one looks like a great service bag I can't see something 3x as wide or taller otherwise it's bigger than a gallon bucket. Smart move on the side wrench pockets I use husky kneeling pads to set tools and lean on the cabnet to work on under sinks and not make a ton of noise. If you ever wanted to see mt bag it's on MM first reload video I rather enjoy that it's documented. I love my collapsible camp sinks/buckets for the adjustable height under p traps. I gotta ask are you a thread tape and liquid dope too or just one of thoes? One thing I noticed in any of your bags you don't carry fire resistant mats for sodering? We all wish things were open and easy to get to but most of the time people have plastic bags under there sink 😆. Last year we did a full dedicated line pex replump with a manifold. Each device had it's own shutoff someone wasn't cheap about it as well. We had a blast despite the lead rope cast unions for the vents. I feel if you go to work and don't hate it it's a win! Also does your company or if you work for yourself do you call digging crewscfor liability? Always wanted to know some of these things and I got someone to ask now.
That’s funny because I own multiple of random burn proof Matt’s off Amazon but never really showed them . And it depends tbh but most times on most thread connections imma say tape and/then dope . On the digging part ,almost everything I do is on my own right now .
Loving the job is one thing you must cause it will test you
Thanks for the answers now blue monster gets more money out of me!
@@MattHmm-rq6dn they will always get my money for that damn tape ,I don’t trust nothing besides blue monster and raven
My quick bag is a sbld as well. Thoes back pockets hold alot I got a m12 surge a full multi meter coil brush zip ties spare m12 battery ect. I'm the back flap I have a full plano parts tray with consumables. I wish I wanted to soder more but in apartment maintenance it can be a liability. I carry and highly recommend for anyone any bag a 1/2 in 3/4in sharkbite cap and shutoff valve. Way to many times is corroded pipes explode you need thoes now not let me go to my van. Your not the only one I'm of rhe camp that a dedicated screwdriver is almost mandatory. I do the same with insulated as well no reason to be multi bitting 24/7. I do recommend you get a ncvt because I come across so many hot galvie and cast pipes. It seems silly but why not have something as a option to say why is this water shocking me. I see it all in 50 to 70 year old apartments and 100 year old houses you never know. I've been telling MM to do a sb-ld only loadout videos since everyone has one it seems 😆. I also recommend a rothenburg kibosh kinda expensive but it will save your bacon and it's way better than the metal repair kits they have at the home stores in emergencys.
Man I need to catch up. Yea alot of common things I see. Rigid pipe wrenches are still made in the usa and the price and quality shows. The rigid multi sink tool is very nice one on each work rig along with the one stop wrench they make. The one thing I wish o had was a battery press copper cutter and pex expander in m12. I don't use them enough to warrant getting them but I sure wish I did have them since I'm about 10 press fittings a month. I use a icrimp bolt cutter style manual one and it really dosent fit is all places but I'm glad I hae something so I don't have to sweat. No sharkbites unless it's temporary or emergency gushing out the wall! All my progress fittings are in a packout deep as well and it's really a great thing. Thanks for the glimpse inside.

Quality stuff there 👏. The only thing I'd change out is thoes adjustables for bahco or even the milwaukee don't suck. The front pocket is perfect for a plumber you can easily put a torch in it even a compact butane one. If you want a good holding wrench I recommend the rigid one stop wrench. I do apartment maintenance with heavy electrical work and I know how that bag can get. I goto the 2 pannel folio in the front and the double pannel high vis orange one in the back and it's 42 to 53 lbs range. I'm not as specialized as you so I gotta be ready for alot but it's very manageable once you get use to it for thoes people who think these bags are too heavy. As for the cost what's your time worth to you time is money or sanity. Also check out "top" speed wrenches they bite as hard as cobras into old plumbing and is a great compact size. I feel bag for people that bought pipe vise when thoes top speed wrenches are half the price and made in Japan not Taiwan.
@@MattHmm-rq6dn appreciate the comment brother ,I will definitely have to look into bahcos and the speed wrenches for sure . As for the bag I completely agree you just have to find a balance that works for your work flow ,but once you do it’s worth its weight in gold .
Fyi I love seeing you on MM live chats it's nice to have more plumbers in the community over there. I did forget to ask have you tried tried a oil filter wrench for strainers and pvc fittings? It's the smallest up to 3ish inch wrench you'll ever find. The channelock one is the best one I've found sold at hd. If you need a comically large adjustable wrench check out fujia they have a 6in thay opens to 2 5 inches with a comfortable coated handle under 30 dollars too made In japan.
