the single element heater was updated by GE to a 2 element heater. lots of single element heaters still being sold for a cheap price. buy the double element heater and it will last much longer
Thanks be to God...Amen
Super helpful. You have the same controller as me so that helped. Other videos didn't help because so different.
Thank you!!! You solved my issue in a couple minutes!
Nice! Thank you! I will try this out. I have a pretty similar set-up with a VIO-20. I really appreciate this, as I have no service manual (or any manual) with mine.
Looked it up, that's over 2k set up, can't afford for now
get yourself a used power pony and a stand
Ok. thank you.
Hi, I have the exact same furnace setup as in this video, with the same HSC ignitor / lockout control module. I'm wondering do you know how to test that the control module is working? On mine, it never produces a spark anymore to the pilot assembly so my furnace cannot turn on. I replaced the control module, but that didn't help either. I'm wondering now if it's because 24V is somehow not being supplied anymore to the control module. On the plug that connects to the control module, I measured the voltage between the middle connectors that plug into pins 5 and 2 on the control module when heat is supposed to come on. Should this measure 24V? I get a very small voltage instead like .3V.
The board should have 24vac. Bad transformer, check output.
Would you know whether the way I tried to measure the voltage using the connectors of the plug (that goes into the ignitor control board) is proper? That there should be 24V across the middle connectors of the plug? Don't really know much about transformers. Is it typically inside the furnace or could be located outside? And how to check the transformer output with a multimeter? Thanks for any advice.
@@dcccs trace wire from furnace switch/power supply, should first go to transformer. Test 2 lead wires after it, should be 24v
@@dcccs or look for the thermostat wires, tester on AC, probe r and c , should be 24v
When bad gets insane, happens, did you have to drop it to fix it ?
No, I drill it out carefully, grease it. So far it's doing good.
@@dyilandlord3518 dang, with it in the vehicle ? you rock then brotha !!!
Listen, I'm not gonna go off" shouting [ Bullsh!t ] like my fellow ( RED -NECKS) even though I am a red neck, myself.!! However: Now" they just send a signel and tell you're meter to cut the power flow, & WA-LA, done.
This video is at least ten years old, they don't have those meters anymore, they shut you off remotely
I shot that video last week.😄 Should get a newspaper with a date on it. I felt so behind of the times now.
Funny this aint possible in the netherlands cause we have them inside our homes
Yeah back in the 90s they shut you off now without coming out to your house.
Bullshit, digital/ smart meters are tethered together through their own WiFi. I'm an electrician and have had to do emergency call jobs. One was a tire shop that didn't pay their utility bill. The meter read off on the digital display. The owner called the utility company and payed over the phone. In less than 15 minutes they had power.
Clearly they didn't have a digital "smart" meter, Christ all mighty dude chill out
Not yet, in my area
@@dyilandlord3518 give it time, they are converting everyone to them.
No meter no problem !
Your extra special arent you 😂😂😂
I think I mark the position of the valve at full flow in the video with a black marker. Aligned that straight with pipe.
Thank you for a quick reply. Your video is very clear with instructions. My problem is i cant turn it counterclockwise any more to make the water hotter. If i make a slight adjustment the other way no problem , the water gets cooler.
@@1kavadarac640 so you removed the ring and turn it all the way counterclockwise and it's still not hot enough? And water temp in water heater is all the way to high? Then either it's defective or there is flow restriction somewhere. Check cold water supply to water heater.
@@dyilandlord3518 You are correct,i removed the ring and turned maximum counterclockwise and the water heater is set to maximum heat. Everything else seems to work fine. I am thinking that maybe something is not working with the valve
@@1kavadarac640 also Im assuming you connected the correct end to hot and the other to cold coz it's labeled.
@@dyilandlord3518 Yes ,you are correct.I had no problem up to about 2 weeks ago . Plenty of hot water, but it changed. I increased the temp up to max, it is a little better but not the way it was. That is why i suspect the mixing vale.
Excellent video. I have one exactly like that one , but i cant make the adjustment counter clockwise to make hotter, even if i remove the stop/limit. I can go the other way no problem. How do i make the adjusment.

Put the deadbolt on the bottom instead of the top otherwise the locks will collide with each other and the steel door won’t close
See reply below, they don't collide, but thank you for the input.
Unlike Makita, Hikoki and Bosch Li-Ion batteries, Milwaukee batteries can be unlocked. The intelligent Milwaukee charger, after checking all Li-Ion cells, reactivates the battery's electronics. Yesterday I received 5 pieces of "defective" Milwaukee M18/5Ah batteries for free. After two hours, all batteries work like new without changing cells, BMS and soldering iron!

Those are genuine. The “fake” ones aren’t quite fake, they don’t say “Makita” and use that branding. They’re just aftermarket Chinese batteries “for Makita” and often have totally different decals than the real ones. Also the fake ones don’t have the decals printed onto the plastic, instead they have stickers that show the design

I changed the heating element and the dryer wouldn't spin i tried and checked everything from top to bottom and i was gonna give up until i checked the motor and this little piece gets stuck it won't let the motor spin i pulled it bac and it starts but once you turn it off it wont go again till i do the same. My question if you can answer from two years go its do i have to replace motor or just that black piece. ? Thanks
Check and clean contacts and terminals , might just need tightening or cleaning with sandpaper or alike
Thanks for your video it help out a lot. There's so much more than just thermal fuse ..
One last question . In your experience you say this switches don't get replaced one have to change the whole motor..? I've seen some videos of how to .and it's a pain cause the blower has a plastic ring on the motor shaft and it's prone to break easily
@@octaviogarcia928 this dryer in the video is really old, you can easily get a whole used cheap one than going through all the trouble IMHO.
I just did this I think there is a temperature circuit breaker. On the other side of the switch, And if that goes. Motor won't run.. It's where the blue wires are..
