Best CDL pre trip video
This is definitely one of the most detailed video I've ever seen on the pre trip. ❤❤❤
Hy The s The best explanación i nevera see You are the best
Is this inspection good to study for Netts here in CT? I’ve been following you guys and watching content.
Each state has their own requirements - best to review the CT CDL manual to verify their requirements for vehicle inspection. portal.ct.gov/dmv/licenses-permits-ids/ct-drivers-manuals?language=en_US
YOU ARE VERY THOROUGH AND LOVE THAT THERE ISNT ABCKGORUND NOISE
I passed!! Only had to do the engine compartment I knocked it out of the park. Nearly failed my tug test bc I was still in neutral but I caught it 😂
Congrats!
@@ATCCMN Thank you!
You didn't have to do driver and passenger side of the truck
@@traviscarter1023 barely. I was doing engine compartment finishing up with the driver side wheel, brakes etc. and then he stopped me after the slack adjusters.
I just took a written note of every single part😅 I start class Monday and I wanna be ahead of the game 💯 great video 💪🏽
simply the best
What does `cracked to braid` mean? this term means what?
Did you mean "cracked, bent, broke or missing?" We use this phrase often throughout the video to describe the condition of the components. If not, let us know what timestamp in the video your question is in regards to, and we'll do our best to help.
@@ATCCMN no. Cracked to braid. That’s the term. ???
After doing a little research, it looks like this may be a requirement that's used in Canada, but not here in Minnesota. Beyond the rubber of an air bag (in the suspension system) there is a braided mesh for reinforcement. We assume "cracked to braid" means that the rubber is cracked so the mesh is showing through.
@@ATCCMN ahhh. Ok. Thanks. I appreciate your attn to my question. I’m not one to just recite rote. I have to understand. Million thanks.
Do you inspect the exhaust system?
Yes... in ontario... we turn the truck on shut the doors then inspect the exhaust system following the connections /explaining...and at the end go into the truck and say there are no exhaust leaks in my cab
Yes, you can find the start of that segment at 26:03
We are located in Minnesota, U.S. so our requirements may be different. Pre-trip inspection requirements vary by state/territory, so it's always best to go with your local requirements!
However we start at the turbo (new to me) then continue on to the exhaust while the truck is running...because we check for exhaust leaks entering the cabin
Very good explaination..thank you much..
I went thru this same program graduating in 2009. It was worth every penny! Alexandria technical college gave me a leg up in any CDL job!
So great… thanks
Outstanding pre-trip !
thank you ,very informative...

Many thanks many appreciate
Simply the Best most thorough video I've Ever watched. I'm about to begin school in two weeks. Please make more videos.
one of the best videos.
Definetly not bud wheels. How is this the guy who teaches the class. Sure glad I wend with the tx cdl people from Carthage tx
Welcome to why people are dying @ the hands of truck drivers. If this shit isn't common sense to you - you shouldn't be piloting 80,000lbs down an interstate. Maybe, just maybe - if we paid drivers what they are worth - we wouldn't have to have this sort of retardation.
This is my favorite of all the UA-cam classes for preinspection. I know nothing about engines so having an instructor take it nice and slow is exactly what i need. Thank you so very much. Please keep this video up forever.
So glad you found it helpful! Best of luck as you prepare.
You shouldn't be driving a tractor trailer if you know nothing about engines.
This is why we educate ourselves. Was a surgeon born knowing the human body or did they study day and night. You are the type of people in trucking I was warned about. You will be my greatest challenge and my first test. Looks like I passed I didn't curse or threaten you. I'm ready for the next ***h***.@@jamesbond1231
@@ozellekeil1953 a surgeon? No. But a good one likely was cutting up animals at a young age. Your biggest challenge will be your lack of knowledge and experience. You can compensate for those, but you will never be as good as a driver that has been driving since they were 5 or 6. Unfortunately the industry doesn't value skill over price, and because of that we will always have sub standard drivers. There's a reason we have buses full of dead kids.
You know that's right ! Way to check 'em
Perfect instructions and the way that you gave them. Great job
Blinker? There's nothing in the handbook describing a blinker. I know what you're talking about, but if you're going to make a safety video, use correct terminology. I stopped watching after that.
Really
Ex
maybe the best video, more details. overall great.
Excellent, complete, well explained, thk you.
And you know that's one of the things that nobody tells you but that's exactly the wording that the inspector wants to hear but you don't know about it if you're just taking a test even if you studied if you don't say those words you are screwed.
I was going to hit the like button but don't like how you skipped past the brake system (ie slack adjusters, pushrod, hoses etc ) after talking about the brake drum and hub oil leaks. You might as well explain everything if in the same area n save time
Other than that not bad tho 👍
Thank you for this video am having my test next week any easy tips will be much appreciated
I’m a landscaper and studying for my CDL to be compliant for my little gas engine contractor truck and bumper pull trailer. I will never need to drive a semi. This pre-trip video perfectly explained all the components I had no previous knowledge about. Jason, you are an excellent instructor.
Thank you! Glad this video helped.
Wonderful video..I learned so much
I wonder if this helps in California. Dnt see why not
The inspection may be similar but differences likely exist. Please check with your local/state DMV for specifics.
Very good explication. He gives names of parts and talk about. Thank you very much.. 👏👏👏👏👏👏
I agree with all these other "excellent" comments. I have viewed several before yours....it finally popped up in my feed, and it is the best so far..it would be the one i would recommend to others.
This is the only video that don't rush you ! Almost like they are hey call us !
You did a great job explaining everything ! Best video ! I take my pre-trip on the 1- 4- hope I pass !!
Thank you! Good luck!!
THE BRAKE COMPONENTS "The air line hose that is going to & from the brake chamber is not cracked, damaged, broken. The air hose is not cut or frayed & it is not leaking. The move to the brake chamber, "The brake chamber is not cracked, damaged, or broken. It is not dented. The brake chamber does not have any illegal holes or welds.
