Honestly, I wouldn't take this as an actual authentic "coding" leaderboard either, they keep on saying "code editing", not "code generation" or "solving code-based tasks". I'm not denying their claim, these must models must be great with THEIR framework. But LMsys Chatbot arena and BigCodeBench leaderboards says otherwise.

I strongly caution against installing GPT4all, a local LLM app that I've found to be woefully slow and nearly impossible to uninstall. Its lack of uninstallation options makes the process tedious and frustrating. Moreover, GPT4all has a tendency to burrow deep into your operating system, making it challenging to completely remove it from both Linux and Windows platforms. After multiple attempts, it remains persistently installed, raising serious concerns about its true motives and potential privacy implications. Specifically, I question whether GPT4all is genuinely private and doesn't engage in data collection or surveillance activities, even when not in use. Its persistence on the system raises suspicions about its actual purpose, leaving one to wonder if it serves another covert function beyond its claimed primary use. Furthermore, compared to other similar apps designed to run large language models (LLMs), I've found GPT4all to be astonishingly slow, with response times that are roughly 300% slower than those of its competitors. This significant lag makes it impractical for most users who rely on these apps for efficient and timely responses. In light of these issues, I would advise against using GPT4all and instead recommend exploring alternative options that offer better performance and greater transparency about their operations. Along with methods to uninstall, it's essential to avoid being held back like the Chinese Firewall's control over blocking uninstallation by users.
