    Do you have any tricks for germination? I've grown lots of peppers but these guys are finicky. I ordered seeds from pepper joes. Only one germinated and it now is producing peppers but it's nit even any kind of habanero!! Smh. Also have 7 other seeds from a different supplier but nothing yet after 12 days! Thanks

    Here in California, you often see it used in landscaping. It's bee friendly as it blooms throughout the season. Edit: I've never tried it in the kitchen as I'm not a rosemary fan.

    i like keeping a lighter on me while im checking for these eggs on my zucchini and squash, ill cut the leaf then burn the eggs but ive had an abundance lately to the point to where ive had to grab my welding torch and a wheelbarrow (for better safety) to burn em all at once, works perfectly and i can add it to my compost!

    Before putting it in the trash, use the packing tape to enclose the eggs by folding it over the eggs. Then they won't even hatch elsewhere.

    If you water them don't water them during the day or in the morning, wait until the sun goes down. They will recover from it.

      Why?

    • @mateobang6334
      @mateobang6334 2 місяці тому

      Coming from someone who grew on commercial farms, the watering at night gives the plant to absorb that water through the night and use it throughout next day or two. Watering in the morning or mid day makes the plant focus on more things than growing@@gardeningandgrowing6357

    • @oldkingcrow777
      @oldkingcrow777 2 місяці тому

      They can definitely uncurl. It depends I'm sure on the reason for curling. But plants can curl to try and create a little humid pocket for better transpiration and they'll uncurl once the conditions shift

      @@gardeningandgrowing6357i will say while I won't jump into "the gov is poisoning our crops!" I did notice one year that my peppers were especially weird in terms of leaf mutations. Everything I researched pointed toward a certain type of weed killer I think. Maybe a pest control., can't remember. But in any case I realized the crop you'd use that synthetic crud on, there were acres and acres around me, and it can carry in the wind for miles. Never tested them at a lab to "prove" it, but it was wild and only seemed to be the peppers and some tomatoes. Same exact soil and same as the years prior and only those couple types of plants affected so it seems like it was external.

    Do you have to reapply often or after rain or does the powder leave something behind when washed away. I'm asking because I have a chipmunk problem and I'm going to start using cayenne pepper powder around my garden, between the rows and on the plants. I've heard that rodents and rabbits will avoid my garden if it's covered in pepper powder. Thank You
