I've buzzed and faded my own hair for years now. It's really not difficult. The only thing to watch is that the comb attachment is firmly fixed to the clippers. Some (including my own #1.5 guard) can work loose over time (and repeated use) as the plastic clip ages. Have pretty much scalped myself once or twice!

My hair length is like yours but mine is thick. what heat protection products do you recommend for super thick, 75 % gray, dye black once a month?

Good tutorial. When you use your dry shampoo on day 2, it appeared you didn't rub it in first or anything and went straight to the dryer. That doesn't gunk your brush up with the shampoo?
